6 – CD-R/CD-RW disc operations—Erasing a track

Erasing a track

This operation erases the specified track and all sub-
sequent tracks from a recorded CD-RW disc.

Caution
The contents of the erased track(s) will be lost forever.
Use this operation with great caution so that you don't
erase important tracks by mistake.

Insert a recorded CD-RW disc into the
disc slot.

While stopped, press the ERASE/DEL button
on the front panel (or the ERASE button on
the remote control unit), and use the MULTI
JOG dial (or the SKIP buttons on the remote
control unit) to select "ERASE TRACK?".
If you decide to cancel the operation, press the
ERASE/DEL button (or the ERASE button on the
remote control unit) once again.

Press the ENTER button.
The display will indicate "Erase XX-XX" (first
track to be erased — last track).
If you decide to cancel the operation, press the
ERASE/DEL button (or the ERASE button on the
remote control unit).

Use the MULTI JOG dial (or the SKIP buttons
on the remote control unit) to select the first
track to be erased.
If you decide to cancel the operation, press the
ERASE/DEL button (or the ERASE button on the
remote control unit).

Press the ENTER button.
The display will indicate "Sure?".
If you decide to cancel the operation, press the
STOP button.

To execute the operation, press the ENTER
button once again.
Track erasure will begin, and the display will
indicate the estimated remaining time until com-
pletion as "Erase X:XX".
When the track erasure is finished, the display
will indicate "Complete".
