HOW DO I PREPARE MY RILA UNIT FOR ITS
FIRST USE?
Use the method described in Chapter 3, 'FIRST USE'.
Once the cooking plate has been prepped, your RILA
cooking unit will be ready for its first cooking session.
The food will stick to the cooking plate a little more at the
beginning than after 2-3 uses. Similar to an old-fashioned
cast-iron frying pan, a natural non-stick coating will
develop over time, making for easy non-stick cooking.
CAN I USE CHARCOAL INSTEAD OF WOOD?
Yes, you can use charcoal as fuel for your RILA cooking
unit. However, charcoal might not reach the same
temperatures as fire wood.
ARE THERE ANY RILA COVERS AVAILABLE?
Yes, there are BARBECOOK textile covers available which
will protect your RILA against extreme weather conditions.
