6. CONTINUITY TEST

Always perform an autotest before using your detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
Before performing a continuity test, make sure that the
circuit to be tested does not contain any voltage.
Connect the brown touch-prod lead to the "L3" terminal and
press the trigger to extend the brown touch prod.
Press the trigger 4 to extend the instrument's green touch
prod.
Place the two touch prods on the circuit to be tested.
Press the autotest button.
If the "
" LED lights up, stop the test (see 3.2).
If R < 80Ω, the green
sounds: there is continuity.
Accidental presence of a voltage on the circuit to be tested.
If the instrument detects the presence of a voltage greater
than 50 V, the buzzer sounds repeatedly and the green
remains off. The voltage level on the circuit is indicated by the
last red LED to light up, which flashes alternately with the
"
" LED. Stop the test and cut off the voltage to circuit.
If a voltage between 20 V and 50 V is present, the green
LED flashes and the buzzer sounds repeatedly.
If a voltage lower than 20 V is present, the green
remains off and the buzzer does not sound. perform another
autotest (see 3.1).
Specifications and field of use
Max. test current: 130 µA
Test voltage at open circuit: 1.25 V
Response time: < 10 ms
Influence of temperature from -10°C to +50°C: continuity
threshold R: 50 Ω < R < 150 Ω
Protection: up to 1000 V rms
7. PHASE ROTATION
Always perform an autotest before using your detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
Connect the yellow lead with the crocodile clamp to the
"L2" terminal of the instrument and place the crocodile
clamp on the second phase.
