4.1 HELP... TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM:
1.0 The gate does not open when a pulse is
given.
1.1 A motor opens and the other closes.
1.2 Motors stop immediately.
1.3 The gate does not close after opening.
1.4 The Flashing lamp does not work.
1.5 The keyswitch does not work.
1.6 Motors work slowly after some years of
operation.
2.0 Fuse 0.8 amp. burned.
2.1 Fuse 4 amp. burned.
2.2 Fuse 10 amp. burned.
3.0 Red LED off.

CAUSE:
1. Battery discharged.

alignment. Fuses.

REMEDY:
1. Replace battery of the remote control or temporarily use the
keyswitch.
2. Check the 230V power supply switch or the fuse of the transformer
amp. 0.8.
3. Switch jumper to a different position.
1. Invert the connection cables to motors, refer to fig. 14.
1. Repeat the automatic force adjustment.
1. If no photocells are installed connect the terminal 1 with terminal 2.
Align photocells. Check fuse 5A.
2. Re-program auto 2.
3. START contact permanently active. Check.
1. Check the 12V max. 10W bulb.
2. Check fuse 5A.
1. Check electronic connections. Refer to Fig. 14.
1. Replace electric brushes.
1. Check the transformer isolation.
2. Check motor cables.
1.Check, if there are short circuits in the supply of:
1. Flashing lamp or 2. Photocells.
1. Check battery status.
1. Check 0.8 Amp. fuse.
2. Check the AC 230V power supply connection.
5. WARRANTY
Chamberlain GmbH warrants to the first retail purchaser of this
product that the product shall be free from any defect in materials
and/or workmanship for a period of 12 full months (1 year) from the
date of purchase for the automated swing gate opener HC250. Upon
receipt of the product, the first retail purchaser is under obligation to
check the product for any visible defects.
Conditions: The warranty is strictly limited to the reparation or
replacement of the parts of this product which are found to be
defective and does not cover the costs or risks of transportation of the
defective parts or product.
This warranty does not cover non-defect damage caused by
unreasonable use (including use not in complete accordance with
Chamberlain GmbH's instructions for installation, operation and care;
failure to provide necessary maintenance and adjustment, or any
adaptations of or alterations to the products), labor charges for
dismantling or reinstalling of a repaired or replaced unit or
replacement batteries.
A product under warranty which is determined to be defective in
materials and/or workmanship will be repaired or replaced (at
Chamberlain GmbH's option) at no cost to the owner for the repair
and/or replacement parts and/or product. Defective parts will be
repaired or replaced with new or factory rebuilt parts at
Chamberlain GmbH's option.
This warranty does not affect the purchaser's statutory rights under
applicable national legislation in force nor the purchaser's rights
against the retailer arising from their sales/purchase contract. In the
absence of applicable national or EC legislation, this warranty will be
the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy and neither
Chamberlain GmbH nor its affiliates or distributors shall be liable for
any incidental or consequential damages for any express or implied
warranty relating to this product.
No representative or person is authorized to assume for
Chamberlain GmbH any other liability in connection with the sale of
this product.
