INTENDED PURPOSE
The intended purpose of the hearing aids is to amplify
sound selectively and to transmit it to the ears of
people with a hearing disability (the hard of hearing)
to compensate for their hearing loss.
The MICROSON m2 RIC is indicated to compensate
moderate to severe hearing loss (conductive, mixed or
neurosensorial). Its use in children is not recommended.
The MICROSON m4 RIC is indicated to compensate
moderate to profound hearing loss (conductive,
mixed or neurosensorial). Its use in children is not
recommended.
A hearing aid must be prescribed and fitted by a
hearing care specialist, who will program it and
adjust it specifically for the patient's hearing loss
and morphology in a completely personalised way.
Be aware that using hearing aids not prescribed by
a professional or devices fitted for other people can
damage your hearing.

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
The RIC (Receiver in Canal) device is a type of hearing
aid that can be partially adapted to the EEC (External
Ear Canal). It is similar to a behind-the-ear hearing
aid, but in this case the receiver goes inside the EEC,
fitted via a standard dome / adapter or a custom
made earmould.
MICROPHONE: receives the sound and converts it
into an electrical signal.
AMPLIFIER: digital processor that receives the signal and
adapts it to the parameters introduced for each loss.
RECEIVER: converts the electrical signal back into
sound and transmits it into the user's ear.
