Repair and maintenance

If it is suspected that the instrument cannot be used without possibly imposing a danger, it
should be turned off immediately and the potential danger be identified before the equipment
is used again. The safety of the user may be diminished if the instrument
• exhibits visible damages.
• no longer works as specified.
• was stored for an extended period in unsuitable conditions.
In case of doubt, send the instrument to the manufacturer for repair or maintenance.

Operating messages

Measuring range exceeded or excessive turbidity.
Result below the lowest limit of the measuring range.
Replace 9 V battery, no further tests possible.
Battery capacity is too low for the display backlight;
measurement is still possible.

Error codes

The measured result is far outside the defined tolerances.
Reasons: e.g. dirty optics.
Too much light reaching the detector. Reasons: e.g. extraneous light.
Place the cap on the sample chamber and repeat measurement.
The standards have been measured in the wrong sequence. Please
repeat calibration.
User calibration incorrect / erase
Factory calibration is activated.
