4.2 – INT69
Diagnose motor protection
INT69® Diagnose is an improved version of the KRIWAN INT69 protector. This new protector has an
additional entry for a sensor positioned on the compressor's discharge. Its additional protective functions
will prolong the life of the refrigeration system. The diagnostic and data storage functions assist with
identifying the causes of malfunctions more rapidly and more reliably. Motor temperature control is
provided by two evaluation methods:
• Static: If the motor winding temperature increases slowly, the compressor will be cut off as soon as the
nominal operating value of the built-in PTC sensors is reached.
• Dynamic: If the temperature of the motor winding increases quickly, the motor stops quickly, even if the
temperature is well below the nominal operating value of the built-in PTC sensors. This prevents excessive
temperatures being reached at the discharge.
Discharge gas temperature monitoring uses a static evaluation process.
The compressor stops for the following malfunctions:
• Short circuit at the PTC sensor inputs.
• Contactor flutter (limiting of the switching frequency)
The device re-initialises automatically if the temperature drops back down or if the fault is repaired. The
compressor can then re-start automatically
L'INT69® Diagnose automatically records the operating data (from the last 7 days) and alarms (the last 20
events) in a non-volatile memory. These data can be recovered on a PC for analysis.
