Our compressors are designed for building into finished or semi-finished products, in accordance with EC
Machines Directive 2006/42/EC and current legislation. They may only be used if all directives have been
complied with.
Declarations may be downloaded from the Tecumseh web site. The safety of the installation, persons and
property is only ensured if the instructions and user manual have been strictly complied with.
It is essential to incorporate the whole of the instructions, schematics and wiring diagrams in the
finished product user manual. Any work on the compressor or refrigeration system may only be done by
qualified and trained personnel. The use of brazing equipment and HFC refrigerants is subject to strict
rules. They may only be used by qualified personnel, personally holding suitable certification.
The training and qualifications of personnel working on refrigeration machines must comply with current
legislation in the country of use.
Tecumseh pays special attention to the safety of persons, sustainable development, energy efficiency and
the environmental footprint of its products.

Residual risks

It is impossible to eliminate all risks associated with the operation of a compressor and it is therefore
necessary that all operations or maintenance are carried out by qualified, authorised and capable
personnel . It is a requirement that all the safety rules are followed.
The discharge tube can reach 120°C and cause burns. Appropriate safety signage will prevent any
accidental contact.
The compressor is delivered filled with pressurised nitrogen (between 0.5 and 2 bar relative). Incorrect
handling may cause injury; use protective equipment. Do not open the valves before de-pressurising the
compressor.
