double cooking zone
The large zone on the right, with a diameter of 28 cm, can
take pans with an extra large base diameter. Because the
zone consists of an inner and an outer ring, you can also use
standard-size pans. The zone detects automatically how large
the pan base is and then switches on the inner ring, or - in
the case of a large base diameter - the inner and outer rings.
The 28 cm zone is also extremely suitable for the use of a
grilling pan. Grilling pans are usually made of enamelled cast
iron.
For best results with a grilling pan, you should preheat the
pan dry for 2 to 3 minutes at maximum power. Then set the
power lower - to 6 or 7, for example. Which setting you
should select depends, among other things, on the thickness
of the food to be grilled (see also the cooking information and
the cooking tables on pages 10 to 13).
