Switching on

Plug the mains plug into a suitable power
outlet socket.
The display (8) indicates the temperature of
the induction hob surface as follows:
Temperature < 50°C: display shows "L".
Temperature > 50°C: display shows "H" and
an audible signal sounds. The appliance is
now in standby mode.
Place a suitable cooking pan containing the
food to be cooked/fried centrally on the in-
duction hob (2) (base diameter 120 -
260mm).
To switch on the appliance, now press the
ON/Standby button (3).
The Level and Temp indicators on the display
sounds.

Power mode

Press the Level button (6) to activate Power
mode. The preset power level 8 is active and
the appliance switches on.
Using the + and – buttons (7) you can adjust
the power level to between 1 and 12.
When boiling, we recommend that you use
the power levels 1 - 12 as familiar from a
conventional hob or cooker.

Temperature mode

To activate Temperature mode, press the
Temp button (5) after switching on.
The display shows the temperature 120°C.
Using the + and – buttons (7) you can adjust
the temperature to between 60 and 240°C.
(Possible temperature settings: 60, 70, 80,
90, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 220 and
240°C)
26
Select either Power mode or Tempe-
rature mode. The mode last selected
remains active. The temperature is
measured by a sensor underneath the glass-
ceramic surface so the temperature indicated
may differ from the actual temperature in
the pan.
Since the temperature of the pan base can
rise very quickly, especially when frying with
only a small amount of fat, and the tempera-
ture limit of 270°C can quickly be reached,
switch to Temperature mode when frying.
The maximum possible temperature is then
240°C.

Timer

Set the hob to Power or Temperature
mode.
To activate the Timer function, press
button 4.
Using the + and – buttons (7) you can
adjust the timer setting to between 1
and 180 minutes in 1-minute incre-
ments.
The time starts automatically after 3 seconds.
Once the set time has elapsed, an audible si-
gnal sounds and the appliance automatically
switches to standby. You can change the set
time while the timer is running by means of
the + and – buttons (7). The temperature
setting remains unchanged if you do so.

Switching off

When the appliance is switched off by means
of the OFF/Standby button (3), the display in-
dicates the residual heat of the induction
hob surface as follows:
Temperature < 50°C: display shows "L".
Temperature > 50°C: display shows "H".
