Guidance notes on operation
Warning:
This symbol and the letter "H" on
the display indicate that the cooking
hob may be hot.
Caution!
Do not touch the surface of the hob while it
is still hot ("H" shown on the display).
Do not place any objects on the hob when it
is hot.
Audible signals
The appliance emits an audible signal after it
is switched on and if there is a fault. That si-
gnal continues to sound until the fault has
been eliminated or the appliance is switched
off. See the section headed "Faults".
Overheat cut-out
The appliance is equipped with an overheat
cut-out. If the temperature of the appliance
exceeds the critical limit, the fault code
"E05" is displayed. The appliance shuts off
the power supply for safety reasons. Once
the required cooling period has elapsed, the
appliance can be switched off and then back
on again.
See the section headed "Faults and resolving
problems".
Safety in operation
Caution – warning! Do not leave
the appliance unattended while it is
in operation so as to be able to inter-
vene quickly in the event of danger.
Do not shift or move the appliance
when it is in operation or when there
is hot cookware on the hob!
Place the cookware centrally on the in-
duction hob. It must not be placed on
the control panel or the frame.
Do not place any kitchen utensils, cook-
ware lids, knives or other metal objects
on the hob. Such items can become very
hot when the appliance is switched on.
Do not place aluminium foil or metal
plates on the surface of the appliance so
as to avoid overheating.
The induction plate itself does not heat
up when in use. However, the cooking
hob is heated by the hot cookware.
Always keep the hob and the pan base
dry and clean. If liquid gets in between
the pan base and the induction plate, it
may boil and the pressure created could
cause the pan to jump. There would
then be a risk of injury.
Switch off the appliance off after use.
By doing so you will avoid unnecessa-
ry use of energy and ensure you are
safe from any possible risks.
If the appliance is not going to be used for
an extended period, we recommend that you
unplug the mains plug from the power out-
let socket.
