Do not fill the water tank with distilled water or any other

liquids, except the descaling solution specified in the
section on descaling. → Page 42
The water tank is not dishwasher safe.
Moisten the seal in the tank lid with some water before
¡
using it for the first time.
Use only fresh tap water or, if necessary, plain non-car-
¡
bonated purchased water to fill water tank.
If your water is very hard (10 grains per gallon or
¡
higher), we recommend using softened water.
If your tap water is highly chlorinated (>4 mg/L), use
¡
plain non-carbonated purchased water with a low
amount of chlorine.
