Planing and joining workpieces
Adjusting the guide plate
1. Loos
en the locking lever (12).
If you can not sufficiently turn
lever head and turn it back.
2.
Tilt the guide plate to your desired angle which you can read
from the angle scale (40). Make sure that the lower edge of
the guide plate is above the table edge when tilting.
3.
Tighten the locking lever (12) again.
Adjusting the depth of cut

Adjusting the blade shaft guard

3. Turn the adjusting screw (30) to adjust the arm of the blad
shaft guard.
4. For flat workpieces (< 75 mm):
Push the blade shaft guard (23) aga
and lift it according to the workpiece thickness. Turn
therefore the adjusting screw (30):
Push the workpiece somewhat below the blade shaft guard
and lower the latter onto the workpiece.

For high workpieces (> 75 mm):
Lower the blade shaft guard down to th

Planing

3. Hold your fingers close to each other and guide th
workpiece with flat hands over the feed table plate.
4. When planing narrow surfaces (joining edges) push the
workpiece with both hands and clenched fists against the
guide plate and the table plate and push it over the feed
table plate.

When planing and joining short workpieces use the push
