2.3.3. Stand By Mode

Period after which the device is to switch to standby mode if no activity takes place.
Push [MENU].
f
"Date/Clock time" appears.
Push [u] twice.
f
"Settings" appears.
Push [SELECT].
f
"Chipcard" appears.
Push [u] twice.
f
"Stand by Mode" appears.
Push [SELECT].
f
Either "OFF" or a time is displayed (5 min to 3 h).
Select the desired time or [OFF] via the buttons [t] or [u].
f
Confirm the input with [OK].
f
To save the setting and return to the main menu,
f
push [RETURN] twice.
The main menu appears.

Locks printing with a password and protects from abuse.
2.3.4.1. Activate password request:
Push [MENU].
f
"Date/Clock time" appears.
Push [u] twice.
f
"Settings" appears.
Push [SELECT].
f
"Chipcard" appears.
Push [u] three times.
f
"Password Menu" appears.
Push [SELECT].
f
"ON / OFF" appears.
To activate or deactivate the password request, push [SELECT].
f
"OFF" appears.
Push [u].
f
"ON" appears.
Push [OK].
f
"Password" and four digits appear.
The first digit flashes.
