Key to symbols on the
energizer
Fence earth terminal (green). Connect the
fence earth terminal to the earth system.
Fence output terminal (red). Connect the
fence output terminal to the fence.

This symbol on the product or its
packaging indicates that this product must
not be disposed of with other waste.
Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose
of your waste equipment by handing it
over to a designated collection point for
the recycling of waste electrical and
electronic equipment. The separate
collection and recycling of your waste
equipment at the time of disposal will help
conserve natural resources and ensure
that it is recycled in a manner that
protects human health and the
environment. For more information about
where you can drop off your waste
equipment for recycling, please contact
your local city recycling office or the dealer
from whom you purchased the product.

Before first use

Before using the energizer for the first time, you
must:
1 Connect the battery (the positive terminal
is disconnected before shipping).
2 Charge the battery for three days by
placing the energizer in full sunlight with
the solar panel facing true south in the
northern hemisphere and true north in the
southern hemisphere.
Connecting the positive terminal on
the battery
1 Place the energizer face-down on a flat
surface (solar panel downwards as
shown). Undo the two screws securing the
battery compartment.
2 Slide the battery compartment away from
the energizer to expose the battery.
3 Connect the positive (red) lead to the
positive (+) terminal on the battery.
4 Slide the battery compartment back into
place and secure it with the two screws.
