4.2 Application field

The use of P&T EXPT is in fixed position for the vigilance, by camera installed by the user inside, of
zones with atmosphere explosive classified 1-21 or 2-22.
• The P&T EXPT is constructed and certificated in compliance to the 94/9/CE ATEX standard and the IEC
60079-0:2000, IEC 60079-0:2001, IEC 61241-1:2004 protocols which define the range of application and the
minimum safety requirements.
4.3 Compatible devices for the use with P&T EXPT
• EXDTRX324: telemetry receiver
• EXDTRX3: telemetry receiver
• EXDTMRX224: telemetry receiver
Read the instruction manuals for the correct use of the above mentioned devices.

4.4 Operation mode

The pan & tilt unit can be remotely controlled according to the following operation modes:
• "MANUAL", directly driving the electric motors through a control console, with instantly starting, stopping and
rotation inversion both on horizontal (max 360°) and vertical (max -90° ÷ +90°) planes; two mechanical
obstructions are installed beyond the maximum allowed ranges, so as to avoid further rotations in case of
bad workings of the electric limit stops (micro-switches).
• "AUTOMATIC CYCLIC", only for the rotation on the horizontal plane, in both directions within a maximum
angle of 270°, according to the limits fixed setting the two potentiometers (RV1 and RV2) installed in the
printed circuit board of the base body (autopan option).
• "AUTOMATIC ON PRESET VALUES", through suitable decoder provided with preset function (not included
in the supply) and two potentiometers (P1 and P2) located on the rotation axes and mechanically linked to
the horizontal and vertical movements (preset option).
