7 Maintenance

The P&T EXPT does not require special maintenance operations.
In anyway the maintenance can be:
Ordinary (periodically):
• Glass cleaning: must be to do with water or other clean liquid that do not make dangers situation;
• Device cleaning: must be performed periodically to avoid the excessive amount of powder on the external
surface. The maintenance frequency operations depends on the kind of environment where the housing is
installed;
• Cables control: that it must not present such usury or deterioration signs to create danger situations, in this
case it is necessary to execute an extraordinary maintenance;
• Replacement tape in Mylar (glass protection device version): that it must be executed in the minimum
suitable security conditions in the Starting. It is necessary to unscrew the four screws of fixing of the lid of the
glass protection and to replace the windings with the dirty tape with those with the clean tape with a simple
slip off.
Extraordinary (in particular situations):
• Replacement of the frontal group equipped with glass (or glass protection device in the versions where
foreseen);
• Replacement of the internal support plate with wiring for heater and terminal connection board, with the
opportune replacement in the versions with or without the glass protection device;
• Usury and dangerous deterioration of the cable;
• Not working of the P&T;
• Not working of the camera or lens;
• Explosion inside or close to the P&T;
• Any other circumstance which involves the opening of the P&T or the control unity.
One advises, for all these cases the system must be taken back in laboratory to make the necessary
operations.
In case of damage the replacement or repair of other interested part interested besides the
suitable ones, it must be executed by manufacturer!
Any replacement of the particulars show must be executed only using VIDEOTEC original
replacements scrupulously following the maintenance instructions enclosed with every replacement kit.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage caused by tampering, use of not
original replacements, installations and maintenance/repairs carried out by not prepared staff, of all the
equipment mentioned in this manual.
