EQUIPMENT TESTING WITH STOVE OFF
Equipment testing must be carried out by specialised personnel from an Edilkamin dealer.
By entering a password in the "TEST UNO/ZERO" menu, the technician can check the working order of the main electromechanical parts Start at
position C4• safety electromagnets:
use the + and – keys to activate the electromagnet, ON should be displayed, check that the cylinder approaches the
plate and return to position C1•.
C1• SMOKE DAMPER ACTUATOR:
use the + and – keys to open the smoke damper by 100 %.
C2• COMBUSTION AIR DAMPER ACTUATOR:
use the + and – keys to check the variation of the combustion air damper opening % and the actuator movement.
C3• HEATING AIR FAN:
use the + and – keys to check the variation in fan power and the flow of outgoing heating air.
C4• SAFETY ELECTROMAGNET:
when the OFF command appears, check that the electromagnet draws away from the plate and that the smoke damper opens automatically.
C5• SMOKE THERMOCOUPLE:
check that the temperature displayed is that detected by the thermocouple in that moment.
C6• PANEL-MOUNTED AMBIENT AIR PROBE:
positioned on the mimic panel, it should read and display the room temperature detected.
7• OPTIONAL REMOTE PROBE:
placed in a position unaffected by heat radiation from the stove, it should read and display the temperature detected. If no remote probe is installed, the
message "NO CONNECT" will appear accompanied by an acoustic signal.
8• DOOR CLOSURE SWITCH:
Displays the position of the door, open or closed.
Should the test be unsuccessful, resolve any problems found before proceeding with installation.
EQUIPMENT TESTING WITH STOVE WORKING
Open the windows the first few times that the stove is used to ventilate the room and get rid of any vapours and smells released by
materials used in the manufacturing process.
Press the ON/OFF start button: the air damper and smoke damper will open to make it easier to light the wood.
Light the fire by loading small pieces of wood and gradually add larger pieces of wood until 4 kg has been loaded.
When full-power combustion has been reached, check the stove functions:
- press the button marked with a FLAME to access the "operating power" menu. Select P1, P2, P3 and "automatic operation":
in the latter mode, the stove automatically chooses the power needed to reach the desired temperature.
- press the "DEGREES CENTIGRADE" button to set the desired temperature from 14 to a maximum of 30 degrees centigrade, past that
point the selectable temperature returns automatically to 14 degrees.
- press the "ventilation" button to select the V1, V2, V3 ventilation levels or "automatic operation": in the latter mode, the stove automati-
cally chooses the level of ventilation needed to reach the desired temperature.
When the first load has been consumed, repeat the operation with another 4 kg of wood and check the working condition of the equip-
ment described previously, this time with the stove working.
Should the wood run out, the message "LOAD WOOD" should appear on the mimic panel.
The STOP FIRE safety system is activated if wood is not loaded within 15 minutes, closing the primary air damper and opening the smoke
damper.
