7 Unpacking the device and com-
mencing operation
Only use connection cables and external devices that
comply with the electromagnetic compatibility and
insulation quality of this device.

Unpacking the device

All parts of the device are delivered in a single card-
board box.
L WARNING!
Risk of suffocation when playing with the pack-
aging!
The packaging material presents a choking hazard.
– Keep the packaging material out of reach of
children and people who can not estimate the
hazard involved.

Unpack the device and all accessories, and check
the contents for completeness and integrity.

Should you detect any damage, contact your
dealer or sonoro support immediately (see
Ä 'Contact data' on page 73).

Place the device in a suitable location and
remove the protective film from the display.

Observe the safety instructions regarding the
ambient conditions (
Ä Chapter 2 'For your
own safety' on page 73).

Inserting the battery

The battery ensures the clock functions in case of
power failure.

Risk of injury from improper handling of batte-
ries!
Risk of injury from explosions from improper han-
dling of batteries!
– Never attempt to recharge, open or short-cir-
cuit the batteries. Explosion hazard!
– Never damage or warp the batteries.
– Never throw the batteries into an open fire or
expose them to high temperatures.
– Keep batteries out of reach of children. Risk of
swallowing!
– Fluid may escape from misuse, which can cause
skin irritation. In case of contact:
– Wash off the fluid with plenty of water.
– Do not rub your eyes. Instead, rinse eyes
with plenty of water for 10 minutes and seek
immediate medical attention.

Material damage from improper handling of bat-
teries!
The device may become damaged if batteries are
handled improperly.
– Do not insert the batteries the wrong way.
Observe the correct polarity.
