    1. Vorbemerkungen Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Kauf eines sonoro iElements entschieden haben. Diese Bedienungsanleitung vermittelt Ihnen alle Informationen für einen störungsfreien und sicheren Betrieb des Geräts. • Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vollständig durch, bevor Sie das Gerät verwenden.

    2.2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung Das Gerät darf nur für den Privatgebrauch eingesetzt werden. Es ist für eine gewerbliche Nutzung nicht geeignet. Das Gerät ist ausschließlich für die folgenden Aufgaben bestimmt: • Wiedergabe von Radiosendern • Audio-Wiedergabe vom iPod , Ladefunktion für den iPod ®...

    • Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur, wenn die auf dem Typenschild des Geräts und des Netzsteckers angegebene elektrische Spannung mit der Spannung Ihrer Netzsteckdose übereinstimmt. Eine falsche Spannung kann das Gerät zerstören. • Um eine Brandgefahr zu vermeiden, trennen Sie das Gerät vollständig vom Stromnetz, wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwenden.

    Mindest-abstand von 10 cm zu anderen Gegenständen oder Wänden ein. • Schützen Sie das Gerät vor starken mechanischen Erschütterungen und stellen Sie es auf stabile Unterlagen. • Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Witterungseinflüssen, Feuchtigkeit und hohen Temperaturen (z. B. durch direktes Sonnenlicht). • Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Spritz- und Tropfwasser. Stellen Sie nie mit Flüssigkeit gefüllte Behälter neben oder auf dem Gerät ab.

    2.10 Reinigung • Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur von außen mit dem mitgelieferten Tuch oder einem anderen trockenen, weichen Tuch. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls scharfe oder lösemittelhaltige Reinigungsmittel, da diese die Oberfläche des Geräts angreifen. • Bei extremer Verschmutzung darf das Gerät auch mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch abgewischt und mit einem trockenen, weichen Tuch abgetrocknet werden.

    4.2 Batterie aktivieren Ihr iElements verfügt über eine eingebaute Batterie zur Speicherung der Uhrzeit bei Stromausfall. Um Ihnen eine möglichst lange Lebensdauer dieser Batterie zu gewährleisten, ist die Batterie ab Werk mit einer roten Plastikfolie vom Stromkreis getrennt. Ziehen Sie diese bitte vor der ersten Verwendung Ihres iElements heraus.

    4.4 Antenne anschließen Der sonoro iElements verfügt über eine interne Antenne für den Radioempfang im FM-Frequenzbereich. Ist der Empfang am Aufstellungsort nicht ausreichend oder möchten Sie weitere FM- oder AM-Sender empfangen, schließen Sie die mitgelieferte FM- bzw. AM- Antenne oder eine entsprechende Hausantenne an.

    Lesen Sie zur Verwendung der Abschaltautomatik in Kapitel 8.3 nach. 6.3 Lautstärke Bei eingeschaltetem Gerät können Sie die Lautstärke Ihres iElements mit der Taste + erhöhen und mit der Taste – verringern. Die Anzeige informiert Sie über die gewählte Lautstärke. Sie können die Lautstärke von VOL MIN (stumm) bis VOL MAX in 30 Stufen einstellen.

    7. Radiobetrieb 7.1 Frequenzband wählen Nach dem Einschalten startet Ihr iElements in dem zuletzt gewählten Wiedergabemodus. Durch wiederholtes Drücken des Zeichens können Sie zwischen den Wiedergabemodi (FM Radio, AM Radio, iPod, Aux) wählen. Im Modus FM Radio können Sie UKW-Radiosender empfangen und im Modus AM Radio können Sie Mittelwelle-Radiosender empfangen.

Ihr iElements verfügt über eine eingebauten Speicher, so dass Ihre Sender auch gespeichert bleiben, wenn Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz trennen.

    4.2 Activating the battery Your iElements has an integrated battery for buffering the time in the event of a power failure. The battery was isolated from the electrical circuit with red plastic film at the factory to prolong its service life. Please remove this film before using your iElements for the first time. DANGER! Risk of injury if batteries are handled incorrectly! Batteries must be handled with great care. - Remove the batteries from the battery compartment as soon as they are empty or if you do not intend to use the device for a prolonged period of time. - Never dispose of any batteries in an open fire or expose them to high temperatures. - Never attempt to recharge normal batteries. Risk of explosion! Never attempt to open or short-circuit the batteries. - Liquid discharged from the batteries when they are used incorrectly can cause skin irritation.

    4.4 Connecting the antenna The sonoro iElements has an integrated antenna for receiving radio signals in the FM frequency range. If the reception at the installation site of the device is not satisfactory or if you wish to receive more FM or AM stations, connect the supplied FM or AM antenna or a suitable house antenna. FM antenna or house antenna 1. Insert the supplied FM antenna or your house antenna into the FM antenna connection on the back of the device. 2. Change the position of the FM switch from INT to EXT. 3. Adjust the supplied FM antenna so that optimum reception is ensured. NOTE! If no external antenna is connected to the FM socket, the switch should be set to INT to guarantee the best possible reception with the internal antenna. AM antenna 1. Insert the supplied AM antenna into the AM antenna socket on the back of the device.

    - When you are using the headphones, never set an excessively high volume. - Even if your headphones are designed in such a way that you can still perceive external noises, never set the volume to a level that stops you hearing your surroundings. 1. Before you connect the headphones, adjust the volume to the minimum setting. To this purpose press the VOL- button. 2. Insert the headphone jack plug into the headphone socket on the back of the device. 3. Slowly increase the volume. To this purpose press the Vol+ button. The controls of the sonoro iElements enable fast and simple access to all functions.

    Your iElements can also switch off automatically after a certain time. Refer to section 8.3 for information on using the automatic switch-off feature. 6.3 Volume When the device is switched on, you can increase the volume of your iElements with the + button and lower it with the – button. The display shows the selected volume. You can set the volume from VOL MIN (mute) to VOL MAX in 30 stages.

    7. Radio operation 7.1 Selecting the frequency band When your iElements has been switched on, it will start in the last selected playback mode. By repeatedly pressing the symbol you can switch between the playback modes (FM radio, AM radio, iPod, Aux). In FM radio mode you can receive FM radio stations and in the AM radio mode you can receive AM radio stations. For further information on Aux or iPod, please refer to sections 9.2 or 9.6. NOTE! The FM frequency band is between 87.5 MHz and 108.0 MHz on VHF band II. The AM frequency band is between 522 kHz and 1620 kHz (Europe) and between 520 kHz and 1710 kHz (USA). 7.2 Scanning stations If you have selected a frequency range (FM radio or AM radio), you can search for stations with the << and >> buttons. Pressing and holding one of these buttons briefly activates an automatic scan in the corresponding direction. If a strong station signal is located, the automatic scan stops and the radio station is played.

    7.4 Selecting a preset station Your iElements can save up to 10 stations per frequency band in the preset memory. If you would like to listen to a preset station, switch on your iElements, select the desired frequency band by pressing the symbol and activate the menu with the menu button. The MEM CALL function appears on the display and when you have again confirmed your selection with the menu button, you can select one of the memory presets P 0 to P 9 with the + and – buttons. The assigned station frequency is displayed behind the memory preset.

    8.2 Alarm Your iElements can wake you up with a radio station or a pleasant alarm tone. You can set the volume of the alarm and use the so-called snooze function. You can set the alarm when the iElements is switched on as well as when the device is switched off.     8.3 Automatic switch-off If you would like to fall asleep to the music of your iElements, the device can switch off after a specified time. (sleep timer function) If you would like to activate this function, press the menu button, use the << and >> buttons to select the SLEEP menu item and confirm again with the menu button. The symbol ST appears on the display. (sleep timer) If the automatic switch-off function has already been set, the remaining time is displayed.     8.6 LED illuminated ring Your iElements features an LED illuminated ring with the buttons << and >>. This lights up as soon as you switch on your iElements and goes out when you switch off your device. You can also completely deactivate the LED illuminated ring feature. To change the LED illuminated ring, press the menu button once while the iElements is switched on. Then select the LIGHT menu item with the << and >> buttons.     If you would like to receive stations from the AM frequency range, connect the supplied AM loop antenna. To this purpose insert the 3.5 mm jack plug of the antenna into the "AM antenna" socket of your iElements. Take care not to confuse the connections on the back of the device. 9.4 Anti-theft lock To protect your iElements against theft, your device features a connection for a Kensington lock. Any lock which is compatible with a Kensington lock can be connected. NOTE! This lock is not supplied.

Non utilizzare in nessun caso detergenti aggressivi o contenenti sol- venti, poiché questi possono danneggiare la superficie dell'apparecchio. • In caso di sporco eccessivo è possibile pulire l'apparecchio con un panno leggermente umido e asciugarlo con un panno asciutto e morbido. 2.11 Smaltimento Gli apparecchi contrassegnati con il simbolo qui indicato non devono essere smaltiti con i normali rifiuti domestici, ma devono essere consegnati ad un punto di raccolta per il riciclo di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettrotecniche.     4.4 Collegamento dell’antenna sonoro iElements dispone di un'antenna interna per la ricezione radio nella gamma di fre- quenze FM. Se nel posto in cui è stato posizionato l'apparecchio la ricezione non è sufficien- te o si desidera ricevere altre emittenti FM o AM, collegare l'antenna AM/FM in dotazione o un'antenna domestica equivalente. Antenna FM o antenna domestica 1. Collegare l'antenna FM in dotazione o la propria antenna domestica alla presa dell'anten- na FM sul retro dell'apparecchio. 2. Passare il commutatore FM da INT a EXT. 3. Orientare l'antenna FM in dotazione in modo da ottenere una ricezione ottimale. NOTA! Se non si collega nessuna antenna esterna alla presa FM, il commutatore deve rimanere posizionato su INT, al fine di garantire la migliore ricezione possibile con l'antenna interna. Antenna AM 1.     7. Funzione radio 7.1 Selezionare la banda di frequenza Dopo l'accensione iElements passa all'ultima modalità di riproduzione selezionata. Premendo ripetutamente il simbolo è possibile selezionare le diverse modalità di riproduzione (Radio FM, Radio AM, iPod, Aux). In modalità Radio FM è possibile ricevere emittenti radio VHF e in modalità Radio AM è possibile ricevere emittenti radio sulle onde medie. Per maggiori informazioni su Aux o iPod consultare i capitoli 9.2 e/o 9.6. NOTA! La banda di frequenza FM corrisponde alla gamma di onde ultracorte ed è compresa tra 87,5 MHz e 108,0 MHz nella banda VHF II. La banda di frequenza AM corrisponde alla gamma di onde medie ed è compresa tra 522 kHz e 1620 kHz (Europa) e tra 520 kHz e 1710 kHz (Stati Uniti). 7.2 Ricerca emittenti Dopo aver selezionato una gamma di frequenza (Radio FM oppure Radio AM) è possibile ricercare le emittenti con i tasti << e >>.

    Sul display compare quindi la funzione MEM CALL. Dopo aver confermato nuovamente con il tasto Menu, è possibile selezionare uno spazio di memoria per i programmi da P 0 fino a P 9 mediante i tasti + e –. In corrispondenza dello spazio di memoria si visualizzata la frequen- za dell’emittente che è stata attribuita. Se lo spazio di memoria non è ancora occupato, si visualizza la scritta FREE. Dopo la selezione dell’emittente desiderata, iElements trasmette il programma dell’emittente memorizzata. Se si vuole interrompere la selezione dell’emittente, non premere alcun tasto per circa 5 secondi. iElements ritorna in questo modo dal menu alla normale riproduzione. NOTA! iElements viene fornito senza alcuna emittente memorizzata. Tutti gli spazi di memoria, pertanto, sono contrassegnati come FREE. 8. Impostazioni 8.1 Ora Se iElements è spento oppure se durante il funzionamento non si preme alcun tasto per un periodo di tempo prolungato, il display visualizza l’ora. +Per la visualizzazione dell’ora è pos- sibile selezionare il formato 24 ore (ad es. 21:20) oppure il formato 12 ore (ad es. 9:20pm). Per impostare l’ora, spegnere iElements. Premere una volta il tasto Menu, selezionare con i tasti << e >> la voce del menu Time e confermare la selezione con il tasto Menu. Ora è pos- sibile selezionare con i tasti+ e – il formato 24 ore (24 hr) oppure il formato 12 ore (12 hr).

    NOTA! AM significa "ante meridiem" e indica tutte le ore da mezzanotte alle 11:59. PM significa "post meridiem" e indica tutte le ore da mezzogiorno alle 23:59. 8.2 Allarme Con iElements è possibile programmare la sveglia sulle trasmissioni di un’emittente radio oppure su una gradevole suoneria. Inoltre è possibile programmare il volume della sveglia e utilizzare la cosiddetta funzione snooze. Esiste la possibilità di impostare l’allarme sia se iElements è acceso sia se è spento. Premere in entrambi i casi il tasto Menu e navigare successivamente con i tasti << e >> fino alla voce menu ALARM nel display. Confermare la selezione con il tasto Menu. Ora è possibile attivare l’allarme (ALM ON) oppure disattivarlo (ALM OFF) con i tasti + e – e confermare con il tasto Menu. Selezionare ALM OFF per terminare la definizione delle impo- stazioni. Il piccolo simbolo di allarme che compare sul display indica che l’allarme è attivato. Se è stato selezionato ALM ON è possibile impostare l'orario della sveglia. A questo scopo si utilizzano i tasti +/- e <</>>, come per l’impostazione dell’ora. Confermare la selezione con il tasto Menu. In seguito compare SOURCE sul display ed è possibile decidere il segnale desiderato per la sveglia. Sono disponibili le gamme di frequenza FM e AM e un segnale acustico (BIP).

    8.5 Dimmer È possibile regolare la luminosità del display in base alle proprie esigenze. Mentre iElements è acceso premere il tasto Menu e selezionare poi con i tasti << e >> la voce del menu DIMMER. Con i tasti + e – è possibile selezionare uno dei tre livelli di luminosi- tà DIM LO, DIM MI e DIM HI. DIM LO indica la luminosità minima, mentre DIM HI la luminosità più alta. 8.6 Illuminazione dell'anello iElements è dotato di led che illuminano i tasti << e >> posizionati sull'anello frontale. I tasti si illuminano non appena si accende iElements e si spengono quando si spegne l’apparec- chio. È possibile disattivare completamente l’illuminazione.     2.2 Uso conforme a lo previsto Este aparato sólo puede utilizarse con fines privados y no es apto para el uso profesional.     2.5 Pilas • Extraiga las pilas del compartimento cuando estén descargadas o cuando no tenga previs- to utilizar el aparato durante un periodo prolongado. • No arroje las pilas al fuego ni las exponga a temperaturas elevadas. • No intente volver a cargar las pilas normales. No intente abrir o cortocircuitar las pilas. Existe peligro de explosión. • El líquido que sale de las pilas cuando se utilizan de manera incorrecta puede provocar quemaduras en la piel. En caso de contacto, lave el líquido con abundante agua. En caso de contacto del líquido con los ojos, no los frote; enjuáguelos inmediatamente con agua durante 10 minutos como mínimo y busque atención médica de manera inmediata. 2.6 Transporte • A fin de prevenir daños en el soporte introducido, extráigalo del aparato antes de trans- portarlo/enviarlo. • Al ir en un vehículo, coloque el aparato de manera que no constituya un peligro para sus ocupantes. • Para enviar el aparato, guárdelo en el embalaje original. Para ello es necesario que guarde el embalaje. 2.7 Condiciones ambientales Para que el aparato funcione de manera segura es necesario que las condiciones ambienta- les sean favorables. Preste atención a lo siguiente: • Proteja el aparato contra las influencias meteorológicas. No lo utilice nunca al aire libre ni lo coloque en lugares donde esté muy expuesto al sol. • No coloque nunca el aparato en las inmediaciones de focos de fuego y calor, como p.ej. velas encendidas, placas eléctricas, hornos, etc. •...

    2.8 Utilización de auriculares • Antes de ponerse los auriculares, baje siempre el volumen del aparato. No vuelva a subir el volumen al nivel deseado hasta que se haya puesto los auriculares correctamente. • Cuando utilice auriculares, no suba el volumen excesivamente. Si aparece un ruido per- manente o de fondo en su oído (timbre), debe reducir el volumen o bien dejar de emplear los auriculares.

    2.10 Limpieza • Limpie únicamente el exterior del aparato utilizando el paño suministrado u otro paño suave y seco. No utilice bajo ningún concepto utensilios de limpieza afilados ni productos que contengan disolventes, ya que ocasionarán daños en la superficie del aparato. • Si el aparato está muy sucio, límpielo con un paño ligeramente humedecido y luego séquelo con un paño suave y seco. 2.11 Eliminación Los aparatos marcados con el símbolo de al lado no se pueden eliminar con la basura do- méstica, sino deben entregarse en un punto de recogida y reciclaje de aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos. Las pilas pueden contener metales pesados tóxicos y, en consecuencia, deben tratarse como residuos especiales. Para eliminar las pilas, entréguelas en un centro de recogida municipal o a un comercio especializado.

    4.2 Activar la pila El iElements cuenta con una pila integrada para almacenar la hora en caso de un corte de corriente. Para garantizar una vida útil tan larga como sea posible de la pila, ésta se encuen- tra separada del circuito eléctrico ex fábrica con una lámina de plástico roja. Retire la lámina antes de utilizar el iElements por primera vez. ¡PELIGRO! ¡Peligro de lesiones debido a una manipulación incorrecta de las pilas! La manipulación de las pilas debe realizarse con sumo cuidado. – Extraiga las pilas del compartimento cuando estén gastadas o cuando no tenga previsto utilizar el aparato durante un periodo prolongado. – No arroje las pilas al fuego ni las exponga a temperaturas elevadas.

    4.4 Conexión de la antena El sonoro iElements dispone de una antena interna para recibir señales de radio en la banda de frecuencias FM. Si no hay suficiente cobertura en el lugar de instalación o si quiere cap- tar más emisoras FM o AM, conéctelo a la antena FM o AM suministrada o a la antena de pared correspondiente.     ¡NOTA! El iElements también puede apagarse automáticamente después de cierto tiempo. Para emplear la función de apagado automático, consulte el capítulo 8.3. 6.3 Volumen Cuando el aparato esté encendido pulse el botón + para aumentar el volumen del iElements y el botón – para reducirlo. La pantalla le informa sobre el volumen elegido. Puede ajustar el volumen en 30 niveles desde VOL MIN (silencio) hasta VOL MAX. ¡PELIGRO! Por favor, no utilice el iElements con un volumen excesivo.     7. Modo de radio 7.1 Selección de la banda de frecuencias Cuando se enciende, el iElements se activa con el último modo de reproducción utilizado. Pulse repetidamente el símbolo para elegir entre los modos de reproducción (radio FM, radio AM, iPod y Aux).     7.4 Selección de emisoras memorizadas El iElements puede memorizar hasta 10 emisoras por banda de frecuencias. Para seleccionar una emisora memorizada, encienda el iElements, seleccione la banda de frecuencias que desee con el símbolo y active el menú con el botón de menú.

    ¡NOTA! AM significa "ante meridiem" y se refiere a todas las horas desde media noche hasta las 11:59 horas. PM significa "post meridiem" y se refiere a todas las horas desde mediodía hasta las 23:59 horas. 8.2 Alarma El iElements puede despertarle con una emisora de radio o con un sonido agradable. Asimis- mo, permite ajustar el volumen del despertador y también lo que se conoce como función Snooze (repetición de alarma). La alarma se puede ajustar cuando el iElements está encendido y también cuando está apagado. En ambos casos, pulse el botón de menú y, acto seguido, pulse los botones << y >> hasta que en la pantalla aparezca el punto de menú ALARM. Confirme la selección con el botón de menú.

    Tiene varias opciones a su disposición: desde 5 hasta 90 minutos. Seleccione OFF para desactivar la función de apagado automático. Poco antes de que se apague el iElements se mostrará información sobre el tiempo restante. Un minuto antes de apagarse, el iElements empieza a reducir lentamente el volumen de reproducción. 8.4 Ecualizador (Bass/Treble) Puede adaptar el sonido de su iElements a sus preferencias personales o bien a las condicio- nes de espacio. Para ello, los bajos y los agudos se pueden modificar en 7 niveles cada uno. Con el iElements encendido, pulse el botón de menú y luego seleccione el punto de menú BASS o TREBLE con los botones << y >>. Confirme su selección con el botón de menú. Ahora podrá modificar el nivel de bajos o agudos del iElements, según el punto de menú que haya seleccionado. Seleccione un valor entre -3 y +3 con los botones + y -.     DIMMER con los botones << y >>. Seleccione uno de los tres niveles de brillo, DIM LO, DIM MI y DIM HI, con los botones + y -. DIM LO es el ajuste más oscuro y DIM HI el más claro. 8.6 Iluminación circular El iElements dispone de una iluminación circular de los botones << a >>. Se ilumina cuando se enciende el iElements y se apaga junto con el aparato. Esta iluminación también se puede desactivar completamente.
