Preparing coffee (e.g. espresso)

INFO: The appliance automatically switches itself off after 5 minutes. In that
case the appliance has to switch on again by pressing the on/off button before
brewer and frother are ready to operate.
CAUTION: Rinse the brewer before preparing any beverage. Place a heat-safe
cup under the spout and push the Rinse button once.
If you are preparing a beverage using milk pods, please observe the relevant instruc-
tions on the K-fee® – your system pod packaging.
Adjust the drip tray to the desired cup size. To remove the drip tray, first lift it slightly,

and push it in at a slight angle from above when replacing it. Eliminate the drip tray to
place extra large cups under the spout.

NOTE:
Before brewing, remove the
pressure tab from the bottom
of the pod. Do not remove the
top foil or puncture the pod!
Lift the handle and insert a pod.

Close the handle completely and start

the brewing process by pressing the re-
quired cup size (here: espresso pod) (fig-
ure 3a). The button will blink during the
selected brewing process (figure 3b), and
all the button symbols will illuminate
when it is complete (figure 3c).

NOTE:
You can stop the brewing pro-
cess by pressing any of the
buttons.
Lift the handle to activate pod ejection.

Then reclose the handle and remove your
beverage.
