System descaling

CAUTION:
If the brewed button blinks
red during drink preparation,
descaling is required. If you cancel the
descaling process, the appliance will
automatically return to descaling mode
next time you switch it on.
CAUTION:
Only use descaling agents
which are suitable for K-fee® –
your system brewer. For further infor-
mation regarding product suitability

WARNING:
Before using the descaling
agent, read the instruction
manual through thoroughly and follow
the warning information.
PROHIBITED:
Do not drink the descaling
agent – health hazard.
Lift the handle to eject inserted pod

and reclose it. Switch the appliance off
by pressing the on/off button and it cool
down (approx. 5 minutes).

Remove and empty the dip tray, the

used pod container and the water tank.
Then replace the used pod container.

Fill the water tank with descaling agent

and water according at the prescribed mix-
ing ratio (1:4). Insert the water tank in the
appliance. Place a heat-safe cup under the
spout (leave the drip tray).

With the appliance in OFF mode, press

and hold down brewed button and on/off
button simultaneously to activate des des-
caling process. Then press brewed button
once. The descaling process starts auto-
matically until the water tank is empty.

NOTE: To cancel programming,
press the on/off button.
Once the descaling process is com-

pleted, the water tank and the cup must
be emptied, rinsed out thoroughly and
cleaned.
Fill the water tank with fresh water and

replace it in the appliance. Place the heat-
safe cup under the spout again.

Press the brewed button once to rinse

the brewer. This will last until the water
tank is empty.
