Daily maintenance

CAUTION:
For hygienic reasons and to
ensure best beverage quality
it is recommended to empty and clean
the main components daily. Also rins
the brewer before and after each bever-
age preparation.
WARNING:
Hot water runs through the
brewer. Do not reach under
the spout. Take care when emptying the
drip tray for residual water can be very
hot. Also let the frother cool down be-
fore cleaning and take it carefully from
the base – risk of burns and scalds.
Place a heat-safe cup under the spout.

Lift the handle and reclose it immediately
to activate pod ejection.
Rinse the appliance by pressing the

rinse button, and discard the liquid in the
cup.

WARNING: Very hot water
- scalding hazard.

Turn the appliance off by pressing the

on/off button. Remove the drip tray, the
used pod container and the water tank.
Empty all containers.
CAUTION:
The used pod container is en-
closed on the underside and
can contain residual and hot liquid.
First pour any residual liquid into the
washbasin, then dispose the used pods
in the waste bin.

Rotate the spout and remove it. Rinse it

out with hot water and screw it on again.

Now clean all removed containers, then

place them back into the appliance.

Now take the jug from the base. Re-

move the lid and remove the sealing ring
from the lid. Then remove the whisk and
take the coil spring from the attachment.

Rinse all parts (except base) with a soft

cloth and mild detergent under warm or
hot water.

Finally dry the individual parts gently
8
and piece them together.
NOTE:
All parts of the milk frother
- except base - can also be
washed in a dishwasher. The maximum
allowable temperature is 158 °F / 70 °C.
Ensure that the jug is not positioned
directly above a dishwasher pin, as this
could damage the coating.
WARNING:
Ensure that the bottom of the
jug is absolutely dry before
you put it back on the base. Risk of
electric shock.
WARNING:
Only use water, dish soap
and a mild cloth. Never
use scouring agents or aggressive
cleansing agents. Never wash appliance
components in the dishwasher - risk of
damage.
