Keep warm function

This function keeps the water at the selected temperature for up to 8 hours after heating.
1. Select the desired temperature and keep warm time with the keep warm program (12).
2. As soon as the water reaches the desired temperature, the keep warm time starts automatically.
Note: When using the glass insert (6) the temperature selected may not exceed 50°C, otherwise there
is a risk of burns when removing the glass insert (6).
Yoghurt making
Yoghurt is produced through the fermentation process of milk. In principle, any type of milk can be
used: full or partly skimmed pasteurised milk, full or partly skimmed UHT-sterilised milk, raw milk, soya
milk, almond milk or powdered milk. Homogenised milk (UHT milk) is best suited to the fermentation
process. Any other type of milk should briefly be heated to 90°C (just short of boiling) and then cooled
to 40°C.
To prepare the yoghurt, you need milk and yoghurt cultures or fresh natural yoghurt. When using
yoghurt cultures, it is important to follow the specific instructions of the manufacturer. UHT milk
should be at room temperature before use.
Yoghurt can be made in the appliance's glass insert (6) with about 900 ml of milk and 2 tablespoons of
mature yoghurt or an equivalent amount of yoghurt starter.
1. The glass insert and lid must be clean and undamaged before use, ideally sterilised with hot water.
2. Fill the glass kettle (8) with water, but not past the mark on the glass insert
remove water to prevent the glass insert (6) from floating.
3. Pour the fresh milk into the glass insert (6) and stir in the mature yoghurt with live yoghurt
cultures or yoghurt starter. Close the glass insert (6) with the glass lid (5).
4. Slowly lower the glass insert (6) into the kettle (8). Close the appliance with the lid (2).
5. Use the yoghurt program (16) to set the fermenting time. The average fermenting time is 8–12
hours. The temperature is preset and cannot be changed.
6. Press the start/stop button (21) to start heating.
7. Once the fermenting time has elapsed, the appliance beeps and the kettle switches off automati-
cally.
8. Remove the lid (2) and lift the glass insert (6) out of the kettle (8).
9. When the yoghurt has cooled, the liquid (whey) can be poured off.
10. Cool the prepared yoghurt in the refrigerator before eating.
11. When preparing fruit yoghurt, add the fruit to the warm yoghurt and then chill.
12. Do not keep the prepared yoghurt in the refrigerator for more than 10 days.
Note: During the fermentation time, the appliance must not be moved or the fermentation may be
interrupted.
Note: After starting the program, press the yoghurt program (16) again to switch off the LED light (9)
and the acoustic signal.
WARNING: While the glass insert (6) is in the appliance, do NOT tip the kettle (8) and pour out or refill
the water as this creates a risk of damaging surfaces or injury (burns, scalds). Always remove the glass
insert (6) from the kettle (8) before pouring or filling the kettle (8) with water.

Warming babyfood
The "Babyfood" program is for warming (baby) food with an initial temperature of 4–5°C (refrigerator
temperature).
Note that a different initial temperature will extend or shorten the warming time!
The food is not boiled with this program, therefore it is only warmed, not sterilised. If you have made
the babyfood yourself, ensure that it is properly sterilised before reheating the food in the appliance!
Premade food in the original sealed jars normally meets this requirement. Use only sterilised and suit-
able cooking utensils for stirring (no wooden spoons or the like)!
Note: The food must be stirred repeatedly (particularly if using the higher temperature setting) to
ensure even heating!
IMPORTANT: Before serving (feeding) the (baby) food, stir several times and carefully check the
temperature!
With the babyfood program (17), you can warm up to 900 ml of milk or babyfood.
1. The glass insert (6), lid (2) and all parts coming into contact with food must be clean and undam-
aged before use, ideally sterilised with hot water.
2. Fill the kettle (8) with water, but not past the mark on the glass insert
remove water to prevent the glass insert (6) from floating.
3. Pour the babyfood into the glass insert (6). Close the glass insert (6) with the glass lid (5).
4. Slowly lower the glass insert (6) into the kettle (8). Close the appliance with the lid (2).
5. Use the babyfood program (17) to set the desired temperature and warming time.
. If necessary,
The default temperature setting is 38°C for gentle and slow warming. Pressing the increase tem-
perature button (13) raises the temperature to 50°C; the display shows "HI" and the warming time
is shortened accordingly.
6. Press the start/stop button (21) to start heating.
7. Once the warming time has elapsed, the appliance beeps and the kettle switches off automatically.
8. Remove the lid (2) and lift the glass insert (6) out of the kettle (8).
Note: If you select the program with the higher temperature, the babyfood should be stirred regularly.
Note: After starting the program, press the babyfood program (17) again to switch off the LED light
(9) and the acoustic signal.
IMPORTANT: Check the temperature again before feeding.
WARNING: While the glass insert (6) is in the appliance, do NOT tip the kettle (8) and pour out or refill
the water as this creates a risk of damaging surfaces or injury (burns, scalds). Always remove the glass
insert (6) from the kettle (8) before the water is poured out or refilled in the kettle (8).
. If necessary,
