f. Fuel quality requirements
Sawdust granulate (pellets) made to EN 303-5:2012 / PN- EN ISO 17225-2:2014,
class C1 / A1, A2, B, are the basic type of fuel used in the Mini Bio Luxury 12
boiler.
Specifications for A1 pellet:
•
granulation 6±1mm;
•
length 3.15 ≤ L ≤ 40
•
recommended calorific value 16500 – 19000 kJ/kg
•
ash content: ≤ 0.7%
•
moisture content ≤ 10%
•
specific gravity (density) ≥600 kg/m
•
ash melting point above 1200°C
Specifications for A2 pellet:
•
granulation 6±1mm;
•
length 3.15 ≤ L ≤ 40
•
recommended calorific value 16500 – 19000 kJ/kg
•
ash content ≤ 1.2%
•
moisture content ≤ 10%
•
specific gravity (density) ≥600 kg/m
•
ash melting point above 1200°C
Specifications for B pellet:
•
granulation 6±1mm;
•
length 3.15 ≤ L ≤ 40
•
recommended calorific value 16500 – 19000 kJ/kg
•
ash content ≤ 2%
•
moisture content ≤ 10%
•
specific gravity (density) ≥600 kg/m
•
ash melting point above 1200 °C
Test fuel used for boiler certification: A1 pellet.
USE THE FUELS FROM RELIABLE SOURCES ONLY. FUELS MUST
HAVE SUITABLE MOISTURE CONTENT AND LOW PROPORTION
OF FINES. WOOD PELLETS SHOULD NOT CONTAIN MECHANICAL
IMPURITIES (STONES ETC.) WHICH MAY AFFECT THE COMBUSTION
PROCESS AND DAMAGE THE DEVICE. KOSTRZEWA SHALL NOT
BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR INCORRECT COMBUSTION
PROCESS RESULTING FROM THE USE OF UNSUITABLE FUELS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE FUEL QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE HEATING SYSTEM COMPONENTS
(E.G. BOILER, FEEDER) AND IS NOT COVERED BY THE
MANUFACTURER'S LIABILITY. IT MAY INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY
AND RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CHARGES IN CASE AN AUTHORISED
SERVICE CENTRE IS INVOLVED.

g. Selecting the nominal heat output of a boiler
The nominal boiler heat output must correspond to the heat demand. The heat
demand for domestic hot water and central heating systems is determined in
accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
The process heat demand is calculated in accordance with the relevant
requirements of the production processes for an individual plant. The nominal
heat output of the boiler must be selected by an authorised person based on
thorough calculations. Do not oversize the boiler.
h. System venting
Water heating system venting must conform to the relevant standards
and regulations.
5. Boiler specifications
The device consists of four parts. The boiler is cuboid in shape,
the dimensions for a 12 kW boiler are 650x865x1670 mm,
and for a 21 kW boiler - 752x862x1700.
1.
The first part is a round steel flue tube exchanger with high efficiency.
Thanks to the fact that the 3T (time, turbulator, temperature) method
was used during production, the exchanger is very small. It is made of
high quality P265GH 4-5 mm thick boiler steel.
2.
The second part is a burner which can be fired with class A1, A2 and B
pellets (according to PN-EN ISO 17225-2:2014) with 6 mm granulation.
The structural elements of the burner are made of heat resistant steel.
3.
The third part is a storage hopper placed on the boiler exchanger so
that it does not require additional space in the room. Hopper capacity
is 220 litres.
4.
The fourth part is a controller of the entire heating system. It was
designed for those who value user friendliness and menu clarity, but also
high level of structural and technological advancement.
