Operating Sequence
1. Sort laundry into loads that can be washed together
See «Washing Hints» for more details.
2. Pretreat stains and heavy soil
See «Washing Hints» for more details.
4. Measure out the detergent, and eventually the liquid chlorine
bleach and fabric softener and pour it into the proper dispens-
er drawer compartment

Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Measure out the
amount of detergent required, pour it into the main wash
compartment «Detergent Wash». Detergent is fl ushed from
the dispenser at the beginning of the cycle. Either pow-
dered or liquid detergent can be used. Note: Liquid deter-
gent will drain into the washer drum as it is added.

If required, pour fabric softener into the compartment
marked
, and the bleach agent into the compartment
marked
, (the amount used must not exceed the
«MAX» mark in the drawer). Fill to the minimum fi ll line
(MIN.) for small loads. Fill to the maximum fi ll line (MAX.)
for large loads. Do not exceed the maximum fi ll line. Close
the drawer gently. See «Washing Hints» for more details.

3. Load the washer and close
the door.

5. Select the suitable wash programme by means of the pro-
gramme selector dial (1)
It can be turned either clockwise or anticlockwise. The
relevant pilot light goes on. The estimated cycle duration
will be displayed. Suitable wash and rinse water tem-
peratures, fi nal spin speed, options and soil level for each
cycle will automatically be displayed. See «Programme
Table» for more details on the compatibility among wash
programmes and different temperatures, spin speed, op-
tions and soil levels.
6. If required, change the wash programme settings by pressing
buttons 2, 3, 4 and 6
If the desired temperature, spin speed or soil level is suit-
able to the selected programme, the relevant pilot light will
light up.
By pressing the button 4, it's possible to select more than
one of the available options. If the option pilot light starts
blinking, it means that the option is suitable to the pro-
gramme and then you can press the button 5 to confi rm
your choice. The pilot light will light up.
Note: To provide the best care for your laundry, not every
setting or option is available with every programme. If a set-
ting or option is not available, its pilot light will not light up.
IMPORTANT!
Adjustments to the programme will be remembered each
time that a programme is selected in the future. To return
to the factory settings, simoultaneously press the buttons
8 and 5 until an acoustic signal sounds.
7. Select the delayed start by pressing the button 10
Press this button to select the required delay. The se-
lected delay time value will appear on the display for few
seconds, then the duration of the programme will appear
again.
You must select this option after you have set the pro-
gramme and before you press the button 8.
You can cancel or change the delay time at any moment,
before you press the button 8. If you have already pressed
it, and you wish to cancel or change the delay time, pro-
ceed as follows:
• set the appliance to PAUSE by pressing the button 8;
• press the button 10 once until on the display will appear
the symbol «0» or the desired delay.
• press the button 8 again to start the programme.
IMPORTANT!
• The door will be locked throughout the delay time. If you
need to open the door, you must fi rst set the appliance
to PAUSE by pressing the button 8 and then you can
open the door. After you have closed the door, press
the button 8 again.
