CAUSE
- Fuel system clogged (fuel lines,
fuel tank, fuel cock).
- Air filter dirty.
- No current supplied to spark
plug.
- Engine flooded.
- Spark gap wrongly adjusted.
- Spark plug dirty.
- Spark advance excessive.
- Carbon formation in cylinder or
on spark plug.
- Silencer partly clogged.
- Exhaust port clogged.
- Ignition delayed.
- Brake pads worn.
- Air or humidity in the hydraulic
circuit.

REMEDY
Clean the system.
Proceed as described on page 134.
Clean or replace the spark plug. If the
problem persists, contact a
BETAMOTOR dealer.
Open the throttle wide and try starting
the engine for a few moments. If this
does not solve the problem, remove the
spark plug and dry it.
Restore the spark gap.
Clean or replace the spark plug.
Check the ignition timing.
