4.7 GENERAL DUST COLLECTION CONNECTION
The machine must always be operated with
the dust collection system connected.
Thorough dust collection will remove any foreign body,
eliminate the risk of breathing dust and is necessary for
correct machine operation.
Dust particles damage the pneumatic elements, dull the
bits and soil the glue.

4.6 PNEUMATIC CONNECTION
(Figure 20.1)
Connect supply tube A to air connection B.
The pneumatic installation must have a pressure between
7 and 8 bar, and the air must be filtered, dehumidified
and non-lubricated, since air lubrication damages the
pneumatic installation.
Supply tube A must have an inside diameter of at least 8
mm to guarantee an operating pressure of 6 bar.
The machine is equipped with a safety device that pre-
vents the machine from being started if the pressure is
below 4 bar.
4.7.1 Virutex AS382L Dust Collector
(Figure 20.1)
For the edgebander EB140, we recommend our AS382L
dust collector, which has great suction power, 340 m
and a large tank capacity. It is also designed to operate
under machine control, operating only during the profi-
ling cycles.
• To install the AS382L dust collector, connect collection
tube C to collector D, using adaptor E (included with the
machine) and its remote control cable to base F (Fig.19.2)
on the machine.
• The dust collector must also be connected to an inde-
pendent external power source.
4.7.2 External D.100 Dust Collector
(Figure 20.2)
If you wish to connect suction to the machine, a general
installation measuring 100 mm in diameter must have a
suction power of 1000 m
To install it, connect flexible tube G with a diameter of
100 mm to collector D.
Fasten the tube with brackets (not included).
The AS382L dust collector, and the tube
connected to the main dust collection
system, must be positioned so as not to
hamper the operator's movements during
operation.
