Maintenance and cleaning

Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair the functioning of the
product.
• The product does not require maintenance apart from changing the rechargeable battery.
• Never point a garden hose or a pressure washer etc. at the product (e.g. for cleaning)!
• Turn off the lamp before cleaning.
• You can use a clean and soft cloth to clean the lamp. Dust can be easily removed using a clean
and soft brush.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable
batteries; they must not be disposed of in household waste!
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in household waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality,
our stores or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Suggested solution
Move the switch to the "On" position.
Consider the recent weather conditions.
Was there sufficient sunlight? Wait for
better weather conditions and charge
the lamp again.
Check where the lamp is mounted.
Install the outdoor wall lamp in a better
lit location without shade.
Keep the solar cell clean and dry. If
the surface of the solar cell is dirty,
this reduces the amount of electricity it
produces.
Check if the twilight switch is working
by placing the lamp in a dark location
(ensure that the battery is charged).
Installing the outdoor wall lamp near a
bright source of light (e.g. a street lamp)
may prevent the twilight switch from
turning on.
