Intended use
This product is designed for use as a decorative outdoor lamp. It is operated with a Li-ion
rechargeable battery, which is charged via an integrated solar cell. The product has an IP44
protection rating and can be mounted and operated outdoors. The product is designed to be
mounted on a wall. The IP protection rating is only guaranteed when the product is installed
properly.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In
addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read
the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together
with its operating instructions.

Meaning of symbols
The exclamation mark indicates specific risks associated with handling, function
and use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The device is constructed according to protection class III. Protection class III
includes electrical devices with a low voltage power supply (< 50 Volts) using a
safety transformer or batteries/rechargeable batteries/solar power etc.
This symbol reminds you to read the operating instructions included with the
product.

Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper
handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from strong jolts, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Keep the product away from flammable materials and objects.
• Do not cover the solar cell. Do not hang or secure any objects (e.g. decorations) to
the product.
• In order to avoid the risk of fire and prevent eye injuries, do not look directly at the
light source and never point the light directly at people or animals!
• For health and safety reasons, do not wear jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets
and rings when mounting the product!
• The product is weatherproof according to IP44 (rain and splashproof) and can be
mounted and operated outdoors. However, never mount the product in or under
water.
• Ensure that you mount the lamp in the correct position.
• It must be mounted in a fixed location.
• Do not mount and use the product in rooms or in adverse environmental conditions
that contain or may contain flammable gases, vapours or dust! There is a risk of
explosion!
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the rechargeable battery.
• The rechargeable battery should be removed from the product if it is not used
for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged
rechargeable batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore
use suitable protective gloves to handle damaged rechargeable batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave
rechargeable batteries lying around, as there is a risk that children or pets may
swallow them.
• Rechargeable batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable
battery might cause an explosion or a fire!
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the
battery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you are not using the product.
Due to the rechargeable battery technology used, you do not need to discharge the
rechargeable battery first. Do not use any battery chargers. Only charge the battery
via the solar panel.
• In industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
and facilities issued by the Industrial Employers' Liability Association must be
adhered to!
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Preparation for mounting
Pay attention to the "Safety instructions" section.
• Mount the outdoor lamp so that children cannot reach it.
• Only mount the outdoor lamp on a stable surface. Depending on the surface, suitable screws
and dowels must be used.
• Choose a mounting location that is sufficiently exposed to the sun to ensure that the battery
can charge.
