PROBLEM
Pump reciprocates but no fluid delivery
(Ram will not extend)
Low fluid delivery (Ram extends slowly)
Pump will not build to maximum pressure
Pump builds pressure but system does not
hold pressure
Excessive oil spray from muffler

SOLUTION
Add fluid
Prime Pump. Reference section 5.2
Remove reservoir, clean intake filter, and
reinstall. Reference section 5.1
Ensure hose quick connects are properly
engaged. Reference section 2
Ensure 90-120 PSIG (6.2 – 8.2 BARG) and
20 CFM (.57 m³/min) available
Check cleanliness of inlet filter (reference
section 5.1).
Bleed any air that might be trapped in the
system.
Ensure adequate hydraulic oil in reservoir.
100 PSIG (7 BARG) is required to obtain
maximum pressure.
Refit and tighten connections as needed.
Adjust lubricator to 1 drop per minute.
Add fluid or bleed system as appropriate
Check for dirt or leaks. Contact EST
Group for bent, misaligned, worn or
defective parts.
