Cleaning, disinfecting and drying
Use only approved cleaning agents and disinfectants!
Cleaning: Clean the full face mask after every use. Do not use solvents,
such as acetone, alcohol, etc. to clean the mask. Add some all-purpose

cleaner such as Sekusept
to lukewarm water then use the liquid and a
cloth to clean. Rinse thoroughly in running water. Soak screen wipers.
Disinfecting: Disinfect the full face mask after each use. Immerse the mask

in the disinfectant. Use Incidur
disinfecting agent. Concentration: 2 %,
application time: 15 Min.
High doses and long exposure times can damage the full face mask! Rinse
thoroughly in running water.
Maschine Washing and Desinfection: with Eltra
Drying: Shake water out of full face mask. Leave the mask to dry in a drying
cabinet or in air. Maximum temperature 60
light. Do not place the tensioners on the soft body. Grease the tensioner
guides with Vaseline.
Testing
The full face mask must be tested after each use and after each service
and repair.
Test devices1) and accessories: Test-It 4100 (AG 02 400), Testor 2100
(R 53 400), Prestor (AG 02 000), Quaestor light (R 54 750), Quaestor
Automatic (AG 02 234) or Quaestor III (R 54 300), adapter (R 53 345),
sealing plug (T 52 246), exhalation valve plug (R 53 346) and mask
holder S (R 53 930).
Visual inspection of the speech diaphragm: Speech diaphragm and O-
ring must be clean and undamaged; clean or replace if necessary (also see
"Test and maintenance intervals").
Set up the test configuration: Secure test head with screw clamps at the
workbench. Observe the instructions for use of the test head. Connect
pump ball to the filling hose of the test head (short hose). Pay attention to
the direction of the arrows. Open tube clamp and moderately inflate test
head to make the pull over of the full face mask possible. Close the tube
clamp.
Leak test: Follow the separate Instructions for Use of the test equipment.
Moisten the face seal with water, if necessary, then mount full face mask with
the mask holder S on the test head. Inflate the test head until the face seal
fits tightly in all places. Grease O-ring at sealing plug or adapter. Seal the
facepiece connector with the sealing plug or the adapter. If necessary, mois-
ten the exhalation valve. Generate a negative pressure (suction) of 10 mbar.
The full face mask is considered leakproof if the change in pressure after 1
minute is less than 1 mbar.
Underwater leak test: Immerse the test head with fitted full face mask in
water. Generate a positive pressure of approx. 10 mbar and rotate the test
head slowly underwater. Escaping air bubbles indicate the location of any
leak(s). Remove the test head and full face mask from the water and repair
the leak(s). Remove the exhalation valve plug and fit the exhalation valve.
Repeat the leak test.
After the test: Press the button and disconnect the adapter. Remove the
full face mask from test head and dry if necessary. Replace exhalation valve
cover so that it engages.
Special maintenance work
Replacing the hard body or soft body:
8 Hold the hexagon nut tight while unscrewing
the screws.
Remove tensioners. Prise the lens frame apart
with a screwdriver at the connecting points,
then pull it off to the top and bottom. Remove
support, see "Replacing the facepiece con-
nector". Detach the old visor from its rubber
frame. Insert a new visor, first in the upper half
and then in the lower half of the rubber frame.
The centre marks on the visor should be aligned with the seam on the mask
body. Draw the rubber frame over the edge of the visor on the right and left.
Moisten the outside of the rubber frame and the inside of the lens frame
with soap solution.
Fit first the upper, then the lower lens frame. Fit the support.

8 8 8 8 Screw tensioners and lens frames together by using screws and hexagon
nuts as well as one plastic washer each, tighten until the gap ( ( ( ( x x x x ) ) ) ) between
the clamp lobes is between 3 and 0,5 mm.
9 Ensure correct assembly: The rotation axis must be below the frame divi-
sion.
Replacing the facepiece connector: Draw the nose cup out of the groove
in the threaded ring. Use a screw driver to pry open the connector clamp.
Remove the connector clamp as well as sliding ring and support. Draw the
connection pieces out of the mask body. Insert the speech diaphragm into
the new connection piece and fit the connector so that the centre marks of
the connection piece and mask body line up. Mount slide ring and new
connector clamp. Attach the hook to ensure the tightest possible fit of the
connector clamp. Push the support between connector clamp and slide
ring, then attach it to the lower lens frame and align. 53 239 Compress the
nose on the connector clamp with pliers R 53 239 until the connector
piece is securely located in the full face mask. Button the edge of the nose
cup into the groove of the threaded ring The edge of the nose cup should
fully grasp the threaded ring. The centre marks on the connector piece
piece and on the nose cup must align.
Replacing the speech diaphragm and O-
ring: Pull the inner mask out of the groove of
the screw ring. Unscrew the screw ring with
socket wrench R 26 817. Then turn the socket
wrench round and carefully insert it into the
holes of the protective screen, taking care not
to damage the diaphragm. Turn the speech
diaphragm to loosen it, and then remove it. Remove the O-ring from the
connector with seal extractor R 21 519. Test the speech diaphragm and
O-ring and replace if necessary. Press the inner mask back into place.
Only use original Dräger parts. Always test for leaks after servicing
and/or replacing parts.
Storage
Wipe visor with an antistatic cloth. To prevent deformations that may lead to
leaks: do not lay the tensioners on the mask sealing frame. Pack the full
face mask in the specially provided bag or box. Store mask in a tension-
free, dry and dust-free place without deforming it in any way.

ulations concerning storage, cleaning and maintenance of rubber prod-
ucts.
