Witter SK25U Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Main Crossbar.
C 2 Side arms.
D 4 M12 x 30 x 1.75 Bolts, Lock washers and Nuts.
E 4 M12 x 35 x 1.75 Bolts, Lock washers, Special Cage Nuts, Cage Nut Retainers and 30 O/D Washers
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball, which
dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
FITTING
1. Remove the bumper by removing 4 off screws and one plastic clip inside nearside wheel arch, 4 off screws inside
offside wheel arch, 8 off screws below and along the rear valance and 3 off captive nuts one nearside and two offside
holding the underskirt panels..
2. Pull the bumper starting at the wheel arches to loosen, be careful and aware when pulling the bumper away from
around the rear light clusters as this may take some force to pull clear.
3. Remove and retain the Crossbeam (two bolts each side).to hand to customer.
4. Assemble Special cage Nuts (using separate Fitting instruction) in Side arms before loosely attaching inside chassis
openings with fixings "E".
Loosely attach the main crossbar using fixings "D".

6. Fully tighten all fixings to the correct Torque settings.
7. Re-fit the bumper. Note: some vehicles have an aperture already cut for the towbar, however some have not,
these vehicles should have the cut position marked on the inside of the lower bumper.
8. Attach chosen neck option.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
