FITTING
NOTE:
If desired, a Bumper Cover Plate can be purchased from Skoda which allows the fitment of a cover to the bumper to hide
the tow bar when not towing. (Detachable Tow Balls only).
1.
Open hatch door and prise off each colour-coded plastic cover located below the rear light clusters (by inserting a lever
between the black plastic door stops and edge of cover). Take care not to damage the plastic covers. Alternatively the
light clusters can be removed to give access to each covers' clips.
2.
Remove Bumper (3 plastic clips & 2 screws along bottom edge, 2 screws & 1 plastic tip clip in each wheel arch, 2 nuts
under each cover removed in Stage 1 above, pull bumper sides off retaining clips and remove parking sensor wiring.)
3.
Remove steel bumper beam.
4.
Locate the two Tow Bar mounting points on the outside face of each chassis rail and remove the sealing tape covering
each hole.
5.
Pre-assemble the Witter Cage Nuts (B) to Cross Bar (A) and Side Arms (D) using separate fitting instructions.
6.
Insert each Side Arm (D) into the vehicle chassis rails and loosely secure using the forward most fastener (E)
7.
Assemble Cross Bar (A) between each Side Arm and partly inserted into each chassis rail. Loosely secure to each
Side Arm (D) with remaining fasteners (E) and fasteners (C). Note: The middle fasteners (E) must be inserted from
outside the chassis rail, pass through each Side Arm (D), and engage with the Witter Cage Nuts in the Cross Bar (A).
8.
Assemble the chosen Neck Kit (ZN, Electrical Plate Bracket (ZB) and Electrical Plate (ZE) to Cross Bar (A) using
separate fitting instructions. Note: Fit the Neck Kit (ZN) to lower set of holes normally, or upper set if using the
