Position the Mammut drive at the correct distance
from the wheel and hand-tighten the nuts (
Check the distance using the supplied minimum
distance block: 20x20x35mm (
Distance between the wheel and the Mammut
roller:

Hand-tighten the screws on the crossmember mid-
dle piece.

Lower the vehicle and check the distances again
with the wheel defl ected; readjust if necessary
(

Move your caravan back to a comfortable working
height and secure it.
19.
Align the Mammut drive horizontally.
20.
Now tighten all the screws with a torque of 86 Nm.

Please note:
With chassis with variable axle support (3AV), the
shearing cams must be shimmed by installing the
supplied 7 mm washers in the shearing cams.
With 3AV chassis, fi t the washers on the two bolts
on the wheel side after the spacers (

Insert the cable of the Mammut drive through the
rubber cable inlet.

Insert the Mammut drive with the bolts through the
available mounting holes in the frame and fasten it
with one nut (

Electrical installation
1.
Determine a suitable location for installing the
Mammut supply battery*.
2.
Make a large enough hole in the fl oor of the cara-
van for the cable to the battery*.
Make sure that there are no electrical installations or structural
members in the area of the hole!
3.
Feed the positive cable and earth cable together
with the data cable of both drives through this
opening into the interior of the caravan.

Mount the enabling sensor on the tow bar.
For vehicles with a plastic tow bar cover (

Mount the sensor.
For vehicles without a tow bar cover (

supplied mounting housing.

Retighten the screw with 86 Nm.

Route the cables along the crossbeam within the
frame so that they cannot chafe, and fasten the
cables with the supplied accessories.

Connect the data cable with the supplied connect-
ing cable set (

Plug the plus cable connectors into the fuse holder
until they click audibly into place (
The fl at blade fuses must not be plugged in!

Push the contact retainers into the fuse holder until
they click audibly into place (
Once these are snapped in, the cables can no longer slip out
of the fuse holder.
9.
Connect the earth cable to the battery terminal
(
15a_b).
10.
Snap the mount onto the fuse holder with an audi-
ble click (
16a) and screw down the holder in a
suitable place (not on the battery) (

Mount the Mammut supply battery* in such a way
that it cannot tip or come loose after installation.
12.
Connect the positive pole (red cable) and then the
negative pole (black cable) to the battery
(
16c_d).

Plug in the fl at fuses (

Seal the cable aperture on the inside and outside
using a suitable sealing compound.
15.
After completion, check your installation work.
You must read the operating instructions before
start-up!
Pay particular attention to the sections: "Safety"
and "Initial start-up".
