Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket!
There is the risk of receiving an electric shock!

Do not open any part of the housing. There are no user-serviceable elements
inside. An open housing will create the risk of a potentially fatal electrical
shock.

Let the appliance cool suffi ciently before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!
WARNING - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials. These could attack
the upper surfaces and irreparably damage the appliance.

Clean the exterior surfaces and the power cable with a slightly damp cloth.
Be sure to dry the appliance well before taking it back into use. For stubborn
soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth. Ensure that there are no detergent
residues in and on the appliance before it is taken back into use.

Rinse the inside of the kettle out with clean water.

If there are any deposits in the kettle, wipe out the inside surface with a moist
cloth, or use a washing up brush or bottle brush. Then rinse the kettle out
with clean water again.
In the event of scale deposits:
Scale deposits on the bottom of the appliance lead to increased energy con-
sumption and reduce the service life of the appliance.
Descale the appliance as soon as scale deposits become apparent.

Use a descaler designed for household appliances (e.g. for coff ee machines).
Proceed as detailed in the instructions provided for the use of the decalcifying
agent.

After descaling, rinse the appliance with lots of clean water.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! You could
receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with
live components during operation.
