General presentation
This product is a motorisation for vertically opening garage doors, for residential use as defi ned in standard EN60 335-2-95, with which it complies.
The main purpose of these instructions is to satisfy the requirements of the aforementioned standard and to ensure the safety of equipment and
persons.
Any use of this product outside of the sphere of application described in this guide is prohibited. Such use, and any failure to comply with the instruc-
tions given in this guide, absolves SIMU of any liability and invalidates the warranty.
The installer is responsible for having this product installed and adjusted in compliance with the regulations of the country in which it is to be used.
In case of any doubts when using this product, or to obtain additional information, consult the website www.simu.com.
SIMU declares that this product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC. A Declaration of
Conformity is available at www.simu.com (GM800).
Product can be used in the European Union and Switzerland.
The instructions may be modifi ed if and when there is a change to the standards or to the product.

Safety instructions
Caution - Important safety instructions
It is important that these instructions are followed to ensure the safety of all persons. Retain these instructions.
Follow all the instructions as incorrect installation can lead to serious injury.
The keypad for setting the parameters is locked to ensure the safety of the users. It may only be unlocked, or the setting parameters changed,
by a professional motorisation and home automation installer, in compliance with the installation manual for this product and the applicable
regulations, to ensure the safety of all equipment and persons.
Safety instructions
- Every month, test that the motor drive unit reverses its motion when it encounters an obstacle that is at least 50 mm from ground level. If this
is not the case, call your installation specialist. Always be very careful when using the manual release cord for a manually operated door may
fall quickly due to weak or broken springs or if it is badly balanced.
- Before manually operating the door or performing maintenance work, always turn the power off and where necessary remove the battery.
- Never let children play with door control systems. Keep the remote controls out of reach of children.
- When replacing the light bulb, select a 24V / 21W E13 type.
- Regularily check the operation of the door to identify any sign of wear, deterioration or incorrect balancing. Do not operate the door if repairs
or adjustments are required.
- Remain at a safe distance when operating the door.

GM800 description
The GM800 operator is designed to power garage doors in residential use. This motor drive system comprises:
- A motor head (1) with integrated light (2).
- A rail assembly (3) with a manual release cord (4).
- 2 TSA+ 4 channels remote controls (5).
