end of the machine a bit up away from the
ground so that the lever will not become bent.
Changing the wheel drive speed (Fig.42-43)
Models 56 and 56 EL have 5 forward and 2
reverse. Models 62 ELD, 70 ELD and 72 ELDT
have 6 forward and 2 reverse.
For change wheel drive speed:
1.
Release the operated cutter (1) and
traction levers (2).
CAUTION - Change the drive speed only
after disengaged traction and stopping of
the cutter, in order to avoid damaging the
machine.
2.
Change the drive speed using the drive
speed selection lever (3).
Moving without mowing
WARNING: This machine has not been
approved for use on public roads. It
must be used (as indicated by the
highway code) in private areas closed to
traffic.
Forward and reversing
Move the throttle lever (4, Fig.36) in the FAST
direction and go to the required speed using the
lever. The lever must be depressed gradually,
since a sudden engagement of drive to the
wheels may cause loss of control of the machine.
Starting operation
1. Check the position of the snow discharge
chute:
- adjust the discharge direction using the
rotation chute crank (1, Fig.44).
- adjust the discharge height manually
(2, Fig.44) in the 56 - 56 EL models or with
adjustable chute lever (18, Fig.2) in the 62 -
70 ELD - 72 ELDT models.
2. Start the engine.
3. Set the wheel drive speed (3, Fig.43-44):
- the forward speeds range from 1 to 5 (6 for
62-70 ELD - 72 ELDT models), 1 being the
slowest speed and 5 (6) the fastest speed.
- the reverse speeds are R1 and R2, R1 being
the slower speed and R2 the faster speed.
4. Press the operated cutter lever (1, Fig.45-46).
Warning! Moving parts. Mutilation
Danger – Don't touch when rotation. Keep
people or animals away.
5. Press the traction lever (2, Fig.45-46).
WARNING - The muffler and surrounding
parts become very hot when the engine
is running. Risk of burns.
Useful tips
1. Always adapt the right speed, regulate with
the drive speed selection, to the snowy
conditions.
2. Remove the snow, directly after falling, is
more effectively.
3. If is possible, always throw the snow in the
direction of the wind.
Stopping machine
1.
Release the operated cutter (1, Fig.42-43)
and traction levers (2).
- In order to prevent freezing, continue
running the cutter and impeller at vacuum
until they are mostly free of snow.
Switching off the engine
1. Set the throttle lever to SLOW position
(Fig.40).
2. Remove the engine key (5, Fig.41). For the 56
EL model, remove the ignition key, too
(1, Fig.34).
3. Turn the gasoline tap to the position (OFF)
(1, Fig.41).
Warning! Danger injury – The engine may
still in operation. After switching off, make
sure that the engine is at a standstill.
Unclogging the snow chute
If snow does not discharge properly, the cutter
or the snow chute may be clogged by snow or
ice.
1. Release the operated cutter (1, Fig.42-43)
and traction levers (2).
2. Switch off the engine.
3. Disconnect the spark plug connector.
4. Carefully remove the snow from the snow
chute and cutter using the special tool
(1, Fig.47).
