• When using 110-230V city power supply, make sure the adapter is placed
between the emergency stop and the power source.
• The emergency stop button is deactivated.
• The Agrilaser Autonomic software is installed on your computer.
CAUTION: Before switching on the Agrilaser Autonomic, make sure the
supporting frame is placed on a horizontal surface that is free of vibrations.
In addition, make sure the system cannot wobble or tilt. By doing so,
projection of the laser at unintended areas will be prevented.
CAUTION: Do not stare into laser beam during configuration.
1. Push the ON/OFF button on the backside of the laser module.
At this point, the system will perform a sequence of calibration steps in order to
maximize its accuracy.
CAUTION: After pushing the ON/OFF button, the motor platform will
start moving.

After calibration is completed, unscrew the blue cap of the laser
housing to reveal the USB-input.
3. Connect the USB-cable with the corresponding end of the cable to the
USB-input on the laser module.
4. Insert the other end of the USB-cable in one of the USB-ports on your
computer. Make sure your computer is switched on before connecting
the USB cable.
5. After connecting the USB cable to the computer, the following
notification will appear: 7

At this point, Microsoft Windows will install the necessary drivers
automatically, which can take up to a few minutes.
6. Wait until the installation is finished. When installation is finished the
following notification will appear:
Your devices are ready to use
Device driver software installed succesfully.
7. Execute the Agrilaser software to start the configuration of the Agrilaser
Autonomic.
The Agrilaser Autonomic may require some time to initialize.
When connection cannot be established upon startup, close the
application and restart the application after a few seconds. Also
make sure all cables are connected properly.
4. Configuring software
The user interface of the Agrilaser Autonomic software application consists
of the following menu items:
• Login screen
• Overview
• Edit pattern
• Timeslots
• Interval
• Settings
A description of each of the menu items is provided on the following pages.
The Installation Guide provides a detailed instruction on using
the Agrilaser Autonomic software, in which you will be guided
through the basic steps in configuring the Agrilaser Autonomic.
4.1 Login screen (figure 7.1)
1. Password: Enter password here. The default password is '0000'.
2. Menu:
• About: Information about the application.
• Language: Change the language.
• Forgot password: Instructions on how to retrieve a new password.
• Login: Login after providing your password.
The Agrilaser Autonomic software requires Windows 7 or higher.
Software compatible with Windows XP is available on request.
The Agrilaser Autonomic default password is: '0000'
4.2 Overview (figure 7.2)
1. Laser status: 'Bursting', 'Waiting for next burst', 'Preparing for burst' or
'Standby'.
2. System time: The system time is inherited from your computer.
3. Timeslots: Active timeslots are marked black.
4. Battery status: Status in case battery is used, otherwise status is 'OK'.
5. Laser status: 'Active' or 'Inactive'.
6. Laser position: The position panel shows the position of the motor in
degrees of the bearing and elevation. If the laser is moving, the current
waypoint position is shown and the moving direction is marked green
(down, up, left or right).
7. Menu:
• Patterns: Pattern overview (section 4.2) and edit pattern (section 4.3).
• Timeslots: Activate and set timeslots (section 4.4).
• Interval: Set time between execution of patterns
(section 4.5).
• Settings: General settings (section 4.6).
8. Log out
9. Start/Stop: Press 'Start' to activate the Agrilaser Autonomic. When the
laser is running, press 'Stop' to interrupt the programme.
