3.1 Frame assembly
1. Place the base panel on a horizontal surface (figure 3.1).
2. Mount one of the side panels with bent edges to the base panel using
three bolts (M8x16) and washers (figure 3.2).
3. Using the same procedure as in step 2, mount the other side panel with
bent edges on the other side of the base panel (figure 3.3).
4. Align one of the remaining side panels with the holes of the already
assembled panels. Use 11 bolts (M8x16) and washers to mount the
panel while leaving the upper two holes unmounted, since these will be
necessary for mounting the top panel (figure 3.4).
5. Using the same procedure as in step 4, mount the remaining side panel
to the other side of the frame (figure 3.5).
6. Place the top panel on top of the frame and secure it with eight bolts
(M8x16) and washers (figure 3.6).
When the Agrilaser Autonomic is used with the solar panel accessory,
proceed directly to section 3.2.
When the Agrilaser Autonomic is used with the power grid adapter proceed
with step 7.
7
. Mount the motor platform directly on top of the frame using 4 bolts
(M8x40) and washers.
8. Align the motor platform with the supporting frame in such a way that
the cable gland leaving the base of the motor platform is aligned with
the two mounting holes of the emergency button. Fasten the emergency
button using two bolts (M8x16) and washers.
9. Slide the power adapter into the slot on the inside of the frame.
10. If not already in place, connect the cable from the laser module to the
connector on the motor platform.
11. Connect the cable from the motor platform to the emergency button
and connect the cable from the emergency button to the power adapter.
Insert the adapter plug into the power socket.
3.2 Solar accessory assembly
CAUTION: The battery package is heavy, make sure it is handled with
caution.
The following steps describe the assembly of the solar panel accessory.
1. Prepare the supporting frame by mounting the bottom bracket to the
assembled frame, on any side other than the side where the emergency
button will be mounted (figures 4.1 and 4.2).
2. Position the supporting frame in such a way that the solar panel is
directed towards the south (on the northern hemisphere), or towards the
north (on the southern hemisphere).
3. Place the solar panel in the bottom solar panel bracket with the solar
panel facing outwards (figures 4.3 and 4.4).
4. Secure the solar panel (figures 4.5 and 4.6) by:
- Placing the top bracket on top of the solar panel and aligning the
bracket with the mounting holes of the top panel of the frame.
- Placing the motor platform on top of the top bracket
11
- Securing the motor platform and top bracket to the supporting frame
with 4 bolts (M8x40) and washers.
5. When the battery box has already been prepared, proceed to step 6.
Otherwise, prepare the battery box by:
- Opening the battery box by loosening the strap and lifting the top section.
- Placing the battery inside the battery box.
- Connecting and securely fastening the positive connector to the
positive pole of the battery, which is generally colored red.
- Connecting and securely fastening the negative connector to the
negative pole of the battery, which is generally colored black.
- Placing the top section back on the box and tightening the strap.
6. Place the battery box inside the frame.
7. Connect the two solar panel cables to their corresponding connectors
on the battery box (figure 4.7).
8. Place the emergency button on the side of the frame and align the two
holes with those on the panel. Fasten it with two bolts (M8x16) and
washers.
9. Connect the cable from the motor platform to the emergency button and
connect the cable from the emergency button to the green connector on
the battery box (figure 4.7).
10. Connect the cable from the laser module to the connector on the motor
platform (if not already in place).
Placing the battery box on the base panel inside the frame provides
additional stability
Before selecting ballast for the supporting frame, keep in mind the volume
inside the frame and the dimensions of the frame opening (figure 5.1).
3.3 Remote interlock connector
CAUTION: Take power requirements into account when selecting the
electrical components for the interlock loop (see technical specifications)
The Agrilaser Autonomic is provided with a feature to connect a remote
safety interlock switch (circuit breaker) according to the schematic
provided in figure 6.1.
3.4 Power up
CAUTION: Before using the Agrilaser Autonomic make sure that:
• The Agrilaser Autonomic is placed in upright position.
• All bolts of the supporting frame are tightly secured.
• The Agrilaser Autonomic is firmly connected to the subsurface. This
can be done by adding sufficient ballast to the supporting frame or by
physically connecting the system to the subsurface.
• The Agrilaser Autonomic cannot wobble or tilt on its position. When
stability is insufficient, change the position of the Agrilaser Autonomic or
add additional ballast to the frame.
• The Agrilaser Autonomic is not subject to surface vibrations, as these can
lead to displacement of the laser projection over time.
• Power cables from the laser to the emergency button and from the
emergency button to the power source are properly connected.
