If simple shortening is not enough to reach the desired lower leg length measurement,
the tubes can be shortened further. To this end, the inner tubes must be shortened again
and this time it is also important to shorten the outer tubes. Refer to the size table on
page 5 for the shortening measurements. Subsequently please follow step 5 - 8.
Shortening to the minimum length is possible, however not recommended, since the
foot support tubes are now only fixed with two instead of four locking screws.
Step 6
After marking the distance to be shortened, saw at the marked positions, possibly at a
90° angle to the respective tube of the four tubes. Please use a hacksaw for this.
Step 7
After you have shortened the tubes, the sawing edges must be deburred to minimise risk
of injury by tubes with sharp edges. Use either a commercial deburring tool or an iron file.
Step 8
Now guide the inner and outer tube together again and mount the foot support at
the desired height.
