Definition of terms
One normally closed contact for each switching element is to
be connected to terminals 44 and 45 (series connection, see
fig. 13). Relay monitoring can be deselected in the "set-up"
program.
(limited/unlimited)
By opening and closing the Machine Cycle Contact (MCC) on
terminals 42/43, the next machine cycle can be initiated by
beam break(s) in the sensing field of the FGS.
In the mode "limited" (see Set Up S 8), the beam break will be
only evaluated after MCC has been closed again. Exception: If
the beam break has been started while MCC is in open state
and is still present for > 100 ms after MCC has been closed
again.
In the mode "unlimited", the beam break can be proceeded at
any time after MCC has been opened or has been opened and
is already closed again.
The muting function enables the sensor/LCU to be temporarily
disconnected. This function is used when conveyor objects
(e.g. pallets) need to pass unhindered („undetected") through
the protection field (fig. 12). Fig. 13 shows the monitored
sequence of sensor signals.
The muting function is triggered and terminated by muting
sensors (muting sensors) placed before and after the light
curtain ("motion direction of dangerous goods"). In general,
switches or through beam photoelectric switches are used as
muting sensors. The LCU is preset for the connection of 4
muting sensors (optical or mechanical), terminal 34 to 41. The
selection is made using the "user mode" programming menu.
