Definition of terms
Safeguard blanked shadow area!
This blanked (unprotected) area is to be made safe by
additional measures, such as mechanical barriers.
Access to this LCU function is only possible by entering a
special password, to prevent unauthorized programming.
If the obstacle in the blanked area is removed, the LCU
deactivates the outputs, in order to stop the machine. In this
way mechanical safety devices can also be monitored with
regard to their position.
Reduced resolution can (only) be used on devices with 14 mm
resolution. It entails switching over the receiver's resolution
(FGSE) in order to make "invisible" any obstacles projecting
into the protection field (e.g. delivery hoses).
The following table shows the resolu-tion behaviour for 14 mm
sensors.
