Definition of terms
There are two possibilities:
Intrusion into the protection field, and subsequent pressing
of the reset switch.
Pressing of the reset switch, and subsequent intrusion into
the protection field.
The number of intrusions required is determined by the run
mode: single-break, double-break, or multi-break.
Electronic blanking makes it possible to blank out one or more
partial areas (not beam 1) of the protection field (fig. 11). This
is used for instance in the case of work piece supports. The
resolution of the sensor (FGS Safety Light Curtain) remains
unaffected over the rest of the area.

The system is able, in conjunction with the FGS Safety Light
Curtain, to read in the area to be blanked.
