3.3.3. PARAMETER SETTINGS
To enter the parameter settings menu, press the "Menu"
button.
Voltage/current values: press and hold "V-set/I-
set" button until the display shows "Voltage" or
"Current". Use the numeric keypad or dial to enter
the preferred value.
Overvoltage Protection (OVP): press and hold the
"OVP/OCP" until the display shows "OVP set". Use
the numeric keypad or dial to enter the preferred
value at which the protection is to work.
OVP protection status: Press and hold "Menu" until
"OVP Status" appears on the display. Press the "On/
Off" button to turn the protection on or off. When
the protection is triggered, i.e. a preset limit value
is exceeded, the OVP LED lights up and the device
beeps.
Over current protection (OCP): press and hold the
"OVP/OCP" until the display shows "OCP set". Use
the numeric keypad or dial to enter the preferred
value at which the protection is to work.
OCP protection status: Press and hold "Menu" until
"OCP Status" appears on the display. Press the "On/
Off" button to turn the protection on or off. If the
protection is triggered, i.e. the pre-set limit value is
exceeded, the OCP LED will light and the device and
the device beeps.
Delay: output control delay function. The setting
range is 0-99999 s. Press and hold the "Delay" button
until "Delay" appears on the display. Use the numeric
keypad or dial to enter the preferred value at which
the function is to operate.
PLEASE NOTE! The function works in the automatic
mode only, so if the storage procedure is also
enabled, the settings of this function will also be
saved in memory!
3.3.4. FUNCTION SETTINGS
To enter the function setting mode, press the "Shift" and
"Menu" buttons, and then follow the setting description.
Voltage control step value: press and hold the
"Menu" button until "Utility V Step" appears on the
display. Enter the preferred value using the numeric
keypad or dial (e.g. 1.1), confirm pressing "Enter".
Current adjustment step value: press and hold the
"Menu" button until "Utility I Step" appears on the
display. Enter the preferred value (e.g. 0.5) using the
numeric keypad or the dial, confirm pressing "Enter".
Sound: press and hold "Menu" until "Utility Beep"
appears on the display. Press the "On/Off" button to
turn the sound on or off.
Hot keys: press and hold the "Menu" button until
"Utility HotKey" appears on the display. Press the
"On/Off" button to turn the function on or off.
By default the function is turned off. When it is
activated, the 0-9 buttons indicate the saved settings
under the 0-9 indexes in the memory, so pressing
one of the buttons brings up the saved settings from
a given index.
Voltage self-testing: press and hold "Menu" until
"Utility VselfTe" appears on the display. Press the
"On/Off" button to turn the function on or off. The
function, when active, offers higher accuracy of
output control.
Software version: to check the software version,
press and hold the "Menu" button until "Version"
appears on the display. The version number of the
software installed on the device will be displayed.
Data recall: to recall data stored in the device, press
and hold the "Menu" or "Recall/Restore" button until

"Utility Recall" appears on the display. Press one of
the buttons from 0-9, depending on which data you
want to recall, and then press "Enter".
PLEASE NOTE! When data is recalled, the outputs are
automatically turned off!
Data storage: to save data on the device, press and
hold the "Menu" or "Recall/Restore" button until
"Utility Store" appears on the display. Press one
of the buttons from 0-9, depending on where you
want to save data, and press "Enter". The storage
function includes such parameters as: Output range,
Voltage and Current values, OVP and OCP protection
thresholds, OVP and OCP protection statuses and
delay time.
3.3.5. AUTOMATIC RANGE
Press and hold the "Shift" and "Delay" buttons until "Auto
Start" appears on the display. Use the "Menu" button to
change between the settings of the initial "Auto Start" and
the final "Auto End" memory address and "Auto Cycle"
cycle time. Enter the memory address value using the
numeric keypad and confirm pressing "Enter" or turning
the dial. Enter the cycle time value in the same way as
when entering the memory address. Entering "0" means an
infinite loop.
3.3.6. AUTOMATIC OPERATION MODE
The "Auto" button is used to enable/disable the function
of automatic operation. If the function is active, the button
is illuminated and the display, in addition to voltage and
current values, will show how much time is left: "LeftTime",
and how many cycles are left: "LeftCycle", the memory
address: "No." The function must be used with a set delay.
3.3.7. SWITCHING BETWEEN THE OUTPUT CONSTANT
VOLTAGE ( CV ) AND CONSTANT CURRENT ( CC )
The device automatically switches between the modes
depending on the load. With the load voltage similar to
voltage set on the device, CV mode will be activated. With
the load current similar to current set on the device, the CC
mode will become active.
3.3.8. SOFTWARE
The software must be installed on a computer with the
Windows version: W7, W8, W8.1, W10 (32 bit + 32 bit) and
(64 bit).
CAUTION: The software is not compatible with Mac OS.

Install the software provided on CD.
2)
Run the software as an administrator on Windows 7
or later operating system for full COM port access.
Set the COM port in the computer: „Baud Rate: 9600/
Parity bit: None / Data bit: 8 / Stop bit: 1 / Data flow
control: None".
3)
Connect the power supply to the computer by
means of USB.
4)
The device should communicate with the computer
automatically and the control panel of the device will
be locked. The parameter edition will be possible
only through the settings in the computer. Pressing
the "Lock" button unlocks the panel.
5)
The device can be programmed using the SCPI
language commands. Detailed information and
programming
instructions
can
be
found
the Expondo site on the product page. If you
experienceproblems finding instructions, please
contact the customer service.
CAUTION! The software can only handle the
following digits trancript: 1,000.00 (thousand, US/BS
type). To change it, perform the following steps:

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Unplug the mains plug before each cleaning,
adjustment or replacement of accessories, or if the
device is not being used.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
c)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
d)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
e)
Never spray the device with water.
f)
Do not allow water to get inside the device through
vents in the housing of the device.
g)
Clean the vents with a brush and compressed air.
h)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
i)
Check the power cord for insulation damage, signs
of burnout and other damage.
