Grill Operation

Open the hood completely. Do not attempt to light the

grill with the hood closed. For the module, remove the
cover.
Open the gas supply shut-off valve.

Push in the burner control knob and verify the hot sur-
3
face igniter glows. The hot surface igniters are located
below the burner grates inside the flash tubes (for the
module, at the rear of the burner). Refer to the illustra-
tions below.
Once a glow is verified, push in and turn the control
4
knob counterclockwise to HI. Hold the knob in for five
seconds. Once a flame is visible, release the knob. If the
burner fails to light within five seconds, turn the knob to
OFF, wait five minutes and repeat the lighting procedure.
Close the hood and allow the grill to preheat until the

desired temperature is displayed on the thermometer.

If electrical power is not available, surface burners can be lit
manually using a multi-purpose lighter.

HI. Hold the knob in for five seconds.
Insert a multi-purpose lighter (or match held by the
4
lanyard provided) through the burner grates and near the
top of the flash tube (for the module, near the top of the
burner). Once a flame is visible, release the knob. If the
burner fails to light within five seconds, turn the knob to
OFF, wait five minutes and repeat the lighting procedure.
WARNING
When lighting, always keep face and body as far away
as possible.
