2.8 Warning and information signs

Symbol Explanation
PROTECTION CLASS I: For the connection cable
to the mains ground wire. The symbol is mounted
to the connection point.
PROTECTION CLASS II: The item has a protective
insulation and requires no ground cable
connection.
The item is suitable for mounting onto or into
furniture made of material with no known ignition
properties.
The item is suitable for direct assembly on normally
flammable surfaces. Normal flammable surfaces
are materials such as wood and materials on a
wooden basis with a thickness of no more than 2
mm.
