Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.

Protective measures:

 Electrical units and installations with a rated voltage of U > 12 V AC or U >30 V DC located in the water:
Isolate the units and installations (switch off and disconnect from the power supply) before reaching into
the water.
 Isolate the unit before starting any work.
 Secure the unit to prevent unintentional switching on.
How to proceed:
 D
 Switch the pump on first, then switch on the UVC clarifying unit.
– The UVC clarifying unit is designed to be operated with water passing through it. Never operate the unit without
water.
 Switching on: Insert the power plug into the socket.
– The unit switches on immediately.
– The control lamp is lit.
 Check all connections for leaks.
 Switching off: Disconnect the power plug.
Note!
 Following installation it takes several weeks for the bacteria to become established and for the filter to
become fully effective.
 Increased bacterial activity starts at a water temperature of approx. + 10 °C.
 A temperature monitor switches the UVC lamp off automatically if it overheats and on again once it has
cooled down.
Note!
The installed temperature monitor automatically turns the UVC clarifying lamp off, if it is overheated. The UVC
lamp will automatically switch on again once cooled down

Remedy of faults

Malfunction
The unit performance is not satisfactory
UVC lamp display is not lit
No water outlet from the pond inlet

Wear parts

The following components are wear parts and are excluded from the warranty:
 Filter media
 UVC lamp, quartz glass and O ring for quartz glass

Unit has been in operation only for a short time
Water extremely soiled
Excessive fish and animal population
Foam filters soiled
Pump filter housing soiled
Impeller unit blocked
Quartz glass tube soiled
UVC lamp capacity exhausted
Power supply of UVC not connected
UVC lamp defective
Connection defective
UVC overheated
Pump power supply not connected
Pond inlet blocked
Remedy
The complete biological cleaning effect is only
achieved after several weeks
Remove algae and leaves from the pond, per-
form a partial water change
Guide value: approx. 60 cm fish length in 1 m³
pond water
Clean filters
Clean pump filter housing
Clean pump
Remove UVC and clean quartz glass
Replace the lamp after approx. 8000 operating
hours
Connect UVC power plug
Replacing the UVC lamp
Check electrical connection
UVC automatically switches on when cooled
down
Connect pump power supply
Clean pond inlet
