• Before operating ensure that the product can be and is operated without

risk of damage to property or injury to people or animals.
• The remote control should be kept out of reach of children.

• If repair and adjustment work is needed to the system or the window includ-
ing products connected to it, disconnect from the mains supply and ensure

that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally.

• It is recommended to place a remote control in the room where the window

and its electrical products have been installed.
• Control unit with mains cable is for indoor use only.

• The control unit must not be covered (maximum ambient temperature:

50°C).
• For additional safety, an SCD (Secured Configuration Device) may be

integrated in the system. If installed, the test button on the control unit and

the RESET button on the remote control are not working. An SCD cannot be
used in systems based on one-way RF communication. For further informa-

tion regarding SCD usage, please contact VELUX.

• For indoor use only.
• Installation in rooms with a high level of humidity must comply with relevant

regulations (contact a qualified electrician if necessary).

• Check that the remote control can operate the relevant product from the
proposed position before it is fastened to the holder.

• This product has been designed for use with genuine VELUX products. Con-

nection to other products may cause damage or malfunction.
• The product is compatible with products with the io-homecontrol logo.

Maintenance and service
• The product requires a minimal amount of maintenance. The surface may
