Check
Is there a microwave oven or
other device that generates
electromagnetic waves near
the unit?
Are the mobile device and
unit far away from each other
or is there an object between
them?
Check
Is the power cord properly
connected?

Are you operating the remote
control from a point too far
away from the player?

Is Control set to On?
• Have you disconnected the
power cord while the player's
power was on?
• Has there been a power
failure?
Remedy
Improve the wireless LAN environment by taking steps such as moving
the unit and mobile devices etc. closer together.
• Use the unit in a place away from microwave ovens or others device
generating electromagnetic waves.
• Avoid using devices generating electromagnetic waves as much as
possible when using the unit with a wireless LAN.
When using wireless LAN, Wi-FI Direct or Miracast, depending on the
environment (radiowave interference) during sending/receiving of a
large volume of data such as HD quality image files and WAV 192 kHz/
24 bit high quality audio files, images and sound may be interrupted
during playback.
Remedy
• Plug the power cord securely into the power outlet (page 20).
• Unplug the power cord, wait several seconds, then plug the power
cord back in.
If Auto Power Off is set to 10 min/20 min/30 min, the player's power
automatically turns off if no operation is performed for the set amount
of time (page 40).
The player's power may turn on together with the power of the TV
connected to the HDMI OUT terminal. If you do not want the player's
power to turn on when the TV's power is turned on, set Control to Off
(page 39).
• Use within the specified usage temperature range (page 61).
• If the power cannot be turned off (to standby), reset the unit. Use a
thin rod to press the reset button on the main unit's front panel. The
unit restarts and can now be operated.
Operate from within 7 m of the remote control sensor.
Replace the batteries (page 7).
Depending on the usage environment, the temperature of the unit's
cabinet may increase somewhat during use, but this is not a
malfunction and there is no need to worry.
The input of the TV and AV system (AV receiver or amplifier, etc.)
connected to the HDMI OUT terminal may automatically switch to the
player when playback starts on the player or the menu screen (Home
Media Gallery, etc.) is displayed. If you do not want the inputs of the
connected TV and AV system (AV receiver or amplifier, etc.) to switch
automatically, set Control to Off (page 39).
Always press  STANDBY/ON on the player's front panel or
 STANDBY/ON on the remote control and check that POWER OFF
has turned off from the player's front panel display before
disconnecting the power cord. Be particularly careful when the power
cord is connected to the AC outlet on another device because the
player turns off in conjunction with the device.
